Fairy Tail Fanfic: Juniper's Past

Prologue

Hello!! This is my very first fan fiction! It is based on the anime Fairy Tail. Be warned: there ARE spoilers! I really hope you, the reader, enjoy this fic that I poured my heart and soul into!! I'm so excited to publish this! Please leave a fantastic comment or some constructive critizism. I greatly appreciate it.

Prologue:

Juniper's POV

"Mystogan, wait!" The rapid wind blew furiously in my golden hair. I tugged on the masked man's cape, "Hey, you butt! Let me come!"

Mystogan aggressively turned around and ripped off the bottom of his mask. We were on the outskirts of Magnolia, so no one saw his face except me. His eyes glared at me with frustration.

"June, I said no! It's too dangerous!"

I snorted,"Hah! That's funny! I'm almost as strong of a wizard as you and you think stopping an Anoma is too dangerous for me? I'll be fine."

Mystogan massaged his temples and sighed, " It's not like that. I'm just not sure that you'd be able to handle it. You've never faced one before."

My eyes narrowed as I searched through his emotions. It was part of my magic, being able to see someone's true feelings. I placed my hands on my hips, "Liar. Your just worried that something terrible will happen. Like what happened with Lisanna."

The blue haired man crossed his arms, "God, sometimes I really hate your magic."

I laughed, "You should be used to it by now."

He smiled, "I've got to go now, okay? I'll bring you the next time an Anoma pops up."

I looked at him skeptically, "Promise?"

Mystogan placed his hand on my cheek and kissed my forehead, "I promise." After that, he proceeded to travel out of town. I stayed there until I couldn't see him anymore. Once he was out of my sight, I started to walk back towards Magnolia.

"Damnit, Mystogan. Always so protective," I chuckled.

Suddenly, I sensed an unpleasant presence coming toward me. Whoever they were smelled like death. That was another part of my magic, being a Dragon Slayer and all.

"Who's there?!" I yelled.

A shadow loomed over behind me. I tried to use my magic but the person caught my arm.

The mysterious person laughed, "Is that all you can do to defend yourself? Well then, this will be easier then I had planned."

I tried to fight the drowsiness that had come upon me but it was more powerful then Mystogan's magic. I blacked out.
