I took a deep breath and looked to my right, seeing my three best friends by my side. I wasn't nervous to reveal myself the Scott McCall's pack, I just knew there would be a lot of explaining to do, and even more so; lots of questions.
"You guys ready?" Althea asked, making eye looking at every one of us.
"Let's go," Isla spoke, the four of us heading towards the doors of the animal clinic. I pulled open the door and heard a small 'ding' as I did so.
"Hi Briar," Liam said immediately, giving me a grin.
As I entered the building with the girls at my side, I replied, "Hey Liam."
"Briar, I really am grateful that you came, but why did you bring them?" Scott questioned, his chocolate eyes finding the people who stood beside me.
"You have your pack, well I have mine, too. Last night you asked about my family being supernatural. These girls are my family and they belong at this meeting," I explained, a hand resting on my hip.
"I hate to be the one to stop this truly heartwarming exchange but I would like to know why I'm here, I have places to be," A guy with biceps the size of my neck interrupted.
"Sure, Theo. Places to be and people to kill?" The boy I recognized as Stiles retorted.
"Everybody has gotten over that except for you, Stiles," Theo returned, rolling his eyes.
"Guys!" Scott exclaimed, the room falling silent. "Briar has agreed to meet us here because she has something to tell us all that will be really helpful when it is only Liam, Mason, Corey, Theo, and Nolan left in Beacon Hills."
"Isn't Theo your age though, Scott?" I spoke up, wondering why he's staying.
"Yes, I am. I want to stay in Beacon Hills, do you have a problem with that? Who even are you?" Theo retorted, giving me sassy eyes.
"I suppose that's my cue," I replied. I explained to the people standing before me everything I told Liam and Scott the previous night.
"A fairy? Like an actual fairy?" Kira wondered, looking at me in awe.
"I don't know why you're looking at me like that, you're a freaking thunder kitsune, that's so awesome!" I exclaimed, finding an immediate liking for the sweet, dark-haired girl.
"What are you guys then?" Lydia asked, looking beyond me and scanning my best friends. I turned around and saw Isla step forward.
"For those of you who do not know, my common name is Isla, but I am also Tisiphone. I am a part of what the call the Furies. We are ancient deities of vengeance, which sounds evil, I admit. Really, what we do is hear the pleas of man, those who seek justice and we deliver it. I am known as the avenger of murder," Isla explained, taking a breath before continuing, "I'm kind of retired though. It got to be too much, eventually mortals were killing at a rate too big for me to avenge them all."
