After school Abby and I headed over to the mall to get, about another 100 pairs of new clothes and outfits. I was just showing off a knee-high cupcake style, blue ambre dress - (ambre means light a the top and slowly gets darker towards the bottom or vis versa)- when Lucas walks into the store we were in, The Buckle, and instantly saw us. Abby eagerly looked at me and then herself in the mirror, she was wearing a mid-thigh dark orange, strapless dress. He smiled happily at us both, greeting us with a group hug.
"Hey, Kim and Khloe, once you're done buying the store, you mind hosting a fashion show for me?" He winked and then went and sat down.
"Kim and Khloe? As in the Kardashians? Why would we be Kim and Khloe?" I said, faking stupidity to get at him.
"Well, mathlete, ya'll are basically wearing the most expensive dresses in the state, and, judging by the bags, have already bought the rest of the mall. Big wallets much?" He replied jokingly.
"Ok, well we were just about to try on something else, so feel free to watch the show." Abby piped up cheerfully. He nodded and motioned for both of us to do a slow turn, then getting the full view of our "perfect" bodies in the dresses, nodded and sat back, obviously wanted to see the next outfits. Abby and I laughed, and then walked into our dressing rooms. To see if he was right, I checked the price tag, and gasped at the $395.00 that was on it. I never bothered with the prices though, because he was right about the big wallets thing, both mine and Abby's parents are extremely loaded, but we didn't like to brag. As I shimmed into a purple dress, I get a text from Abby saying, read when you are. I quickly replied with, ok lets go, and then stepped out of my dressing room. I looked over at Abby and realized she was wearing her "princess bride" dress. A pink, bridal, sequined folding, masterpiece, that would have put the dress Princess Kate was wearing for her royal wedding, to shame. We both smiled realizing we were wearing our favorites, and then looked at our audience. Abby strode confidently towards him and Chrysler, who had apparently come to see the show. Lucas was so absorbed by Abby that he actually got up and twirled her around, him and Abby laughing the entire time. I on the other hand has being admired by Chrysler.
"You look beautiful, Spencer." he said standing up and turning me in a slow circle. Appreciating how my dress fit in all the right places and the simple beauty it brought to my features.
"Thank you, Chrysler. So any hints as to where you'll be taking me?" I said smiling as he pulls me towards him, making my dress fly behind me.
"Well, Luke and Abby are going too, and its a type of special evening thing by the lake. That's all you get to know for now. So the dress code is elegant and formal, so check and check, and my dress code is beautiful and blonde, so you are all covered. You are getting that dress right?" He seemed so excited to see me in this dress. It was a ball-gown type dress, with gently folds, and a lacy overlap. The sleeves were long and tight, and the torso was tight, and covered in purple tool, lacy, and an elegant design of beads and jewels. it really was a princess dress, and I had the perfect shoes and make up to go with it.
"Yes, most definitely, and I think Abby is getting the one she is wearing too. So, you really like it on me?" I say as he brings me into an embrace,
"Spencer, I love the dress, especially on you. You look stunning." He replied, his eyes are filled with hopes of amazing, and a wonderful evening tomorrow. He definitely had a plan, and hopefully I don't ruin it.
"Aww, thank you, and what will you be wearing?" I say leaning against the wall. My scene styled, blonde hair with platinum highlights was getting in my face, but before I could sweep it away Chrysler reached up and swept it back, letting his hand linger on my cheek.
"Don't worry about me, Spence. Just know you are going to have a night to remember." He leaned closer and whispered, "I like your new hairstyle, but you may want to curl it tomorrow." He then looked at me, a mere 3 inches from my face, and I felt my heart speed up.
But I don't live in a fairytale, the prince doesn't kiss the fair maiden yet.
"SPENCER!?! Why are you here, and with HIM?!?!" Someone growled furiously behind Chrysler, and he quickly stepped back to see who it was.
OH CRAP!!!!! Of course, he loved this store.
"Matthew?!?!" I felt like disappearing.
