Chrysler and I were hitting if off, when Amanda decides to come plant herself way too close to Lucas. His facial expression said what I was thinking. WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH HER?

"Um excuse me, Flynn, but you don't belong here." Abby said, clearly irritated. But before I could state my opinion, Lucas quickly and quietly got up and sat on the other side of me. Casually throwing his arm over my shoulder. I sat there stunned, unable to process what he had just done. But Amanda seemed to have been hurt by his gesture, so without saying anything, little miss perfect left.

"What the he-" I was about to die from surprise, when Lucas slowly, as if not wanting to, removed his arm and scooted over a couple inches.

"She has had a crush on me since like 7th grade, so to blow her off, I acted as if I was with you, I hope you don't mind...?" He smiled apologetically, sending chills through my body. And cutting off the remainder of my sentence with his own honey sweet voice.

"Oh, ok no problem, but next time WARN A GIRL!" I say playfully bumping into him. As soon as I did that, though, Chrysler seemed to not like it, because I could see a new determination in his eyes. It's like I am just noticing him, sitting across from him really gave me an advantage because he is H-O-T and not because it was over 90 degrees outside. Chrysler was built, the same build as Matthew was, only it suited him more. He must do more than just one sport. He has light hazel eyes, that seem to be almost golden. At least 6'8 and a very nice set of abs that I got to see when he took his sweatshirt off. He seems just like a football player, which makes him even more desirable. I may love math, but athletes come first. So we listened to the coaches ramble on for about another 50 minutes, and thankfully the bell cut them off before they started the safe sex talk.

"Hey Chrysler, can speak with you for a second, alone? I have a few things to show you, around the school, and since we both have Trig 1 next period, I can show you were it is at. Come on. See ya later Abby, and behave with Luke" I say teasingly as I half drag Chrysler over to the bleachers. Ok now is your time, it's now or never, come on Spencer. Ask him about himself, get to know him better, then ask what he does. Then ask him if he is sing-

"So, Spencer, I hear that you're the new cheer captain. And please call me Chrys" Chrys said surreptitiously wrapping an arm around my waist, as he grabbed for his book on the other side of me. The gesture sent a tingle up my spine and my heart started beating faster. I had to do something, or maybe I didn't.

"Um yeah why? An like I said you can call me Spence you know?" I say as he pulls his arm away, trying to not keep it there too long, or he may have gotten caught. Well I already caught him, but I didn't stop him, so why did he move his arm. Why do I even care, I like Lucas anyways, not him. Right? I don't think I know anymore.

"Oh no reason, just, you know how the HSH football team  each get to pick a cheerleader as their "tutor" or basically their lackey?" He spoke with a sense of pride and excitement. I couldn't turn him down, because we all know where this is going.

"Oh yeah totally, but I usually get picked by a major jerk, so this year I turned down William Cook, because he wanted more than just a tutor and a lackey. So why the sudden interest in football and cheer lackey? Are you on the team or something?" I said, hinting curiosity even though I already read the list of the new senor HSH football team.

"As a matter of fact, I am the new captain, and I am cordially," He bows at the word cordially. "asking you, Spencer McGuire, to be my new cheer girl." He smiles when he says cheer girl, seeing a sparkle in his eyes that wasn't there before.

"Oh, I would love to be your lackey and tutor but what is a cheer girl?" I seriously had no idea, but for some strange reason I wanted to find out.

"Oh a cheer girl is my old teams way of saying cheerleader girlfriend, well girlfriend really, but still a cheerleader. If you say no, I understand, but just one date please, then you can decide." He seemed genuine, so why wouldn't I say yes?

"Seriously? I would love to go on a date with you Chrys." I said, and to prove my point I wrote my number down on his notebook and winked at him as we find a place to sit in Trig 1.

"Great so how about tomorrow night at 7?" He had a new bounce in his step and an uncontrollable energy all during class. Wow it wasnt even the second week yet and I already have a date with a cute football team captain.

"Tomorrow night at 7? Perfect, what should I wear?" I say as we start taking notes from the board.

"Wear a formal, elegant dress. And probably some flats, heels will make you start crying before the night is over." he said the last part chuckling. The rest of class we had to do individual work so no one could talk, so I decided to continue the conversation after the bell. And as if on queue, the bell rang.

"Hey, so any particular reason that I have to wear an elegant, yet sexy, formal dress?" I ask bumping into him, as casually as if we had been lifetime friends, he only laughed and bumped me back.

"No one said anything about it being sexy." He said, curiosity in his voice.

"Oh I know that, it's just that I don't own anything that isn't sexy, sleek, or silk. I know I know, I'm not that high maintenance, I just have an open style when it comes it dressing out. Anyhow, what's your next class period?" I say trying to veer away from the fact I just told him I owned sexy, sleek, silk dresses, basically in every form and fashion.

"Um.... I don't know, let me check, but first I wanna know if I heard you right. Did you say sexy, sleek, and silk? Because I might have to over look the whole dress code, to this surprise event to see you in one of those dresses." He smiles playfully. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm not that type of guy, Spence. Trust me."
