(Anita) "So I planned to take her to New York for college so her knowledge on makeup would increase." -she whispers to her second cousin.
(Noemi) "Wow, New York! What a big opportunity."
(Anita) "Then when she comes back, she'll set up a makeup salon."
Pathetic, I know.
And I know, it's rude hearing other people's conversation, but I just couldn't help it. Though it kinda became a habit of mine. At this time, I was wearing my headphones but my music was at a low volume, so then, I heard them.
The first thought that came into my mind was "How about him? I can't probably leave him here." This guy, Sean, is a very special person to me. He's my best friend. We've only been best friends for only a month or two, but he's the only person who's been true to me. So I texted him and said that I would tell him something important.
Later, we both went to school. I told another best friend of mine, Jake, about it. Though, he didn't care as much as I expected he would. What a snake! I still love him though, as a best friend.
After class, I didn't have anytime to talk to Sean, so I just told Jake to tell him. They went to a convenient store nearby to eat a light dinner and that's when Jake told Sean.
Once I opened my phone, I texted him.
··While texting··
(Elizabeth) "So Jake told you, right?"
(Sean) "Yeah, he did"
(Elizabeth) "Oh ok, good"
(Sean) "So how did you find out?"
(Elizabeth) "I overheard my grandma's and her second cousin's conversation with each other."
(Sean) "Oh. I'm really gonna miss my bestfriend."
That night ended with guilt and hurt inside of me. I couldn't help it. I'm really gonna miss him so much.

Ugh, it's a Monday morning. We all know that feeling on Sunday night, knowing it will be Monday once you wake up. If only Monday didn't exist... but we all have to because that's the world.
Once I got up, I took a shower thinking about my college life in New York. I got stress out to the point I didn't want to go to college. I mean, how would you feel being halfway across the world from the people you've loved and known?
So I finished up and ate and walked to school. School was just a block away so I didn't have any trouble stressing about the heavy traffic and terrible pollution.
As I arrived at school, the first person I found was Jake. I approached him with excitement because I'm a crazy person.
(Elizabeth) "Jake! I have a question."
(Jake) "Yeah, go ahead."
(Elizabeth) "Will you miss me?" I felt like a kid as I said those words. I mean, I didn't like him, let's get that clear. I just wanted to know if he really cared if I left.
(Jake) "I mean, yeah." - He said unsurely. - Though, you might change when you get back here."
(Elizabeth) "Yeah, I might, but don't worry I won't forget my closest friends." - I said with a smile on my face.
Three hours later, I had to go to my Algebra class where Kate, Bianca, Denise, Kyna, my four other closest friends, and I were classmates. It was fun since we always sat beside each other.
After Algebra class, we walked together heading to the cafeteria since we were all hungry and had to eat. Suddenly, the topic turned to our college plans. We asked each other what courses we would take and what schools we were planning to enroll in. As it was my turn to talk about my plans, I mentioned about going to New York for college.
(Denise) "Wow!" - her eyes widen as she faced me - "You're not joking!?"
(Elizabeth) "I promise, I'm not." -I chuckled.- "Though it isn't confirmed yet. But.." - I continued but stopped for two seconds. - "I don't really want to go to New York."
(Denise) "What!? Why? That's New York! There are good educations there, it's a big place, you might even get famous if you're lucky, and besides, blue-eyed and blonde guys with abs are there! Take that opportunity, Elizabeth!" - she shouted in disbelief.
(Elizabeth) "Well, I know, there are numbers of positive things that will happen in New York. But, I can't just leave this one person."
(Denise) "Tell me why, Elizabeth. Tell me!" - she looked at me with her eyes wide open as she shook my shoulders slightly.
