Hide (v)-put or keep out of sight.

I came in ready to start swinging only to find Dean sitting on my bathtub. He was dressed in his school shirt and a pair of sweats, a different backpack on his shoulders than the one he took to school.

"What the bloody hell?" I muttered dropping the hockey stick to the floor.

"This smells weird," said Dean as he put the candle down and stood up.

"What are you doing here?!" I whispered harshly, "How the hell did you even get in?!"

"Shh! Relax. I scaled the wall and I ended up in the bathroom because it was the only room which I could access from the outside."

I was looking at him like he was crazy.

"You climbed up here?! What is wrong with you?! If Ezra finds you in here he will tell my dad and I might as well write my will now," I began rambling, my arms crossed over my head in panic mode.

"Listen," said Dean pointing at the door.

"Hey Zahra!" I heard Ezra calling from downstairs, "I'm going down to Mark's house. Dad let me. I'll be home at like 6 or 7. Bye!"

I heard the door opening and shutting behind him.

Dean was looking at me smugly. I was so ready to slap him.

"I honestly can't believe you right now," I breathed as I stomped out of the bathroom.

"Hey! I didn't do anything! I could hear him talking on the phone from downstairs!" he defended himself, following me.

I sat down on my bed, arms crossed and trying to look as angry as possible. Dean just chuckled and flopped down next to me. He put the backpack down and leant down to retrieve stuff from it. With the base of his neck now exposed I could see angry red-violet bruises surrounded by broken skin forming. They seemed to go further down to his back.

I craned my neck to see if there were any more but he quickly straightened back up concealing what little there was to see. I quickly relaxed my face and acted natural.

"These babies right here will change the game entirely," he whispered, holding a few journals and a file in his hands.

I leaned forward and quirked a brow at him.

"You know I met you like two days ago right? Don't you think you're being too forward?"

Dean rolled his eyes dramatically.

"Well congratulations Zahra Korir! You're my new best friend! Bam! Not awkward!"

"If my dad finds you in here he will undoubtedly shoot you," I shook my head at him, still not believing he was actually there in front of me.

"Meh, I'll take my chances. Now back to our current agenda!" He basically shoved the books into my face, "These!"

"What are "these" exactly?" I asked, pushing his hands away.

"My mother has documented almost anything and everything from their days in Enigma. It's crazy!" he exclaimed, flipping through a journal, "These have pretty much everything from petty Tribe drama to intel on their operations!"

I furrowed my brows and he tossed one into my lap and flipped through it. He sat with his legs crossed and his hands in his lap as he watched me excitedly.

"And she just let you take them?" I asked, looking at him with suspicion.

"Well, yeah? She knew I'd go around asking for myself if she didn't so she just chucked a box at me and told me to have fun," he shrugged like it was no big deal.
