Chapter Eleven - Amigos & Starbucks
Callum's Point Of View
Recap -
He looked nervous, and his hands were fiddling with each other, hanging limply in front of his body, "actually, I have to ask you something."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nose. His eyes opened to reveal his green eyes, "Chris, will you be my girlfriend?"
She stood in front of my in the bright lighting of her bedroom, unmoving.
I started growing more and more uncomfortable in the silence that followed my proposal and she still hadn't said a word after a minute, "well," I started, breaking the silence. "This is the part where you're supposed to give me an answer. Preferably yes..."
Her blue eyes snapped up to meet mine, and in her pajamas I honestly didn't know how she didn't already have a boyfriend, she was the definition of gorgeous.
"Sorry," she said and my heart fell a little, "I didn't answer."
My heart beat picked up and I couldn't help but think, I actually had a chance.
A smile broke out onto her face and she smirked slightly, "if I say 'yes' will you get out of my room?"
I shrugged and took another step towards her, more comfortable because she was joking around and not painfully rejecting me, "you'll just have to wait and find out."
She fake gasped, "Callum! Are you flirting with me?" She took another step closer to me, "because I don't mind it."
I felt myself slowly being more and more turned on by her, and she was barely trying to affect me.
"Good," I said with mere inches between us.
Her eyes flicked down to my lips, and I was screaming with happiness inside. Yes, I was aware that the telltale sign for 'kiss me' was the eyes looking at your lips.
So I gave her what she wanted.
Chris' Point of View
Two days after Callum snuck into my room, asked me to be his girlfriend, kissed me, refused to leave for another ten minutes, and sent me a cute goodnight text, and here I was, in Read & Weep talking to Macy about her new boyfriend, Kent.
Yes, after two grueling days of non-stop texting her encouragement, she finally caved in and asked the Barista out.
They were sort of cute together.
No, she hasn't read the letter yet, but at least her minds off Trevor, and focused on her new hubby.
"C'mon! It's just a double date!" She moaned from next to me, trying to persuade me to go out with her and Kent.
It wasn't working out so well for me, I mean, how was I supposed to know that she had a mean puppy dog face! Those eyes were adorable!
"Fine," I breathed out, "but Callum won't agree to this." Mad at myself for giving in to her deadly puppy dog face again, I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted.
The first time she made me tell her who I was dating, because apparently I had a 'certain glow' to me that only pregnant ladies and girls with new boyfriends had. Personally, I was a little offended that she compared me to a pregnant lady, but oh well.
"Yeah he will."
I rolled my eyes, "I'll just text him then." I don't know what overcame me, I know I hated Callum in the beginning, but something possessed me to give him a chance, so that's what I did.
