Chapter 2- For old times sake

    The amount of relief Luce felt was immeasurable, seeing her old friends once again after all those years. Filled with joy. "I guess you guys got the message hey?" Luce said as she smiled. "Well lately I've just been hearing the amount of problems going on here. And for the sake of old times, and the traveler, i decided to come, i brought Kaleka with me" Zara explained. "I was doing fine in my own home thanks" Kaleka replied. "Where are you two now? i haven't heard from you guys in too long"! Luce asked. "We live on Io. But like, on the opposite sides of the planet cause we annoy each other too much, and we dont wanna live anywhere else, its only the Taken on Io, and they're barely there anymore" Zara explained. "No, you annoy me too much" Kaleka argued once again. "Anyways im so glad you guys got my message, its a relief to see you guys are doing......somewhat well" Luce laughs. "I've just killed too much Vex on Nessus they're all scared of me. I needed to fight somewhere else, this was a perfect opportunity" Xeno-3 explains. "Xeno you've always been feared, sometimes even by me to be honest" Luce chuckles. "i got your message and Kaleka told me her and Zara are returning back to the tower so i didn't wanna be left out. All i do is live in my humble abode on Earth in the EDZ, barely any taken there anymore. I fixed up an apartment up in a damaged ruined condo, i think I've made it pretty nice if i can admit" Jasper tells the group. "A condo, wow aren't you special" Kaleka pipes up. "I just took Ulan-Tan's grove on Io, killed everything in it, and made it my "home" i dont know, im not creative, i needed a place to lay low anyways" Kaleka continued. "You do know Ulan-Tan was an ancient warlock, you could have learned valuable info there about your class if you looked a little deeper" Luce pointed out. "Eh, i killed Calus im basically the best" Kaleka chirps. "Anyways, i am beyond glad to see the 4 of you again. Any of you hear from Inara"? "Same as you, haven't heard a thing" Xeno-3 brings out. "Yeah, when we all went our own ways from the fireteam, we all may have chose a path but Inara just went off radar. I tried contacting her about 4 months ago. Nothing" Jasper explains. "That's unfortunate.....well at least you guys are here, I've missed all of you, and our past adventures together. You guys know why your here right?" Luce asked. "To help you stop wars between the factions, thats what your message said" Zara answered. "If you guys could, that would be the greatest help, the city is in chaos and i know i cant stop all these wars alone. That is why i decided to reunite with you...most of you" Luce explains. "Well what are we waiting for, lets go kill things" Kaleka blurts out. "No, no Kaleka, our goal is to find mutual understanding between the factions, only using force when absolute necessary" Luce reasons. "Ugh, lets go then, lets stop wasting time and get down there!" Kaleka addressed.

   The fireteam of 5 make their way down the tower. Running down the many flights of stairs. "For old times sake eh?" Xeno shouts as his voice echoes down the stairwell. All 5 members filled with excitement, being reunited and now given a task. The team reaches the bottom and opens the door that enters into the city. A road is ahead of them as they question where to go, eager with Ethic, wanting to do good, as that is what they do. "I want to check out the area where the skyscraper in downtown fell a few days ago" Luce suggests. "I guess thats the only lead we have" Jasper mentions. The fireteam jumps on their sparrows, dashing through the highway, heading towards the middle of the city. Searching for ways they can create peace and end hatred. Once arriving in downtown, they are halted. The team jumps off their sparrows and hides behind rubble on the road that has been blown off from the building beside them. Xeno looks to the side and takes a peek of what the 2 figures are. Ahead of them are 2 guardians with their backs facing the fireteam of 5. Both with the Future war cult emblem crested on their shoulder pads of their armor. "Im going to approach them, in a soft manner" Luce whispered. "You're going to die" Kaleka informed. "Thats why i have you guys" Luce mentions with a smile. Luce steps over the rubble making a rock fall down and hit the ground, making the 2 guardians turn around in reaction. "Hello, i am a guardian from the tower, my name is Luce, can i ask your names?" "Your ways of peace are dead! die you waste of light! one of the guardians shout as they throw a spear while the other one lights the tip of the spear with solar fire, Heading straight for Luce. Zara jumps beside Luce and throws a titan shield in front, blocking the spear. Kaleka, Xeno, and Jasper all jump out and wall run beside Luce and Zara. Xeno jumps off the buildings wall landing between the guardians standing up and drawing his rifle pointing at one, Jasper doing the same with her sidearm. Kaleka grabs the second guardian and hold his arms, preventing the resistance. Kaleka kicks the back of his knees making him fall. "Stay down you weakling" Kaleka taunts. "Our intentions are not to kill, my fellow guardians" Luce assures. "I simply want to know why you fight for FWC" Luce asks. "............" The guardians remain silent. "Have you forgotten that you can only fight like you do because of that big sphere above us, the light?! Using your powers to harm fellow guardians and kill citizens of your own city is a complete waste of your powers, that the traveler gave to you, because the traveler saw something good in you! "............" The guardians continue to remain silent. "Alright, my patience has reached its limit, you guys die now" Kaleka swiftly mentions as he draws his sidearm and points at the first guardian. Dressed in Future war cult colours, vulnerable to Kaleka's frustration. He places his finger on the trigger... "WAIT! wait! please....we understand......it is not our place to speak for the faction we fight for, if you would like, we can bring you too Lakshmi-2. She will explain more...... just please dont kill us." Kaleka hesitates, looks over at Luce, as do the other 3. "Lead us, no tricks, or Kaleka wont hesitate next time. Take us too Lakshmi, and we can do our best to find a solution to these never ending wars that you are participating in." Kaleka lifts up the guardian that was on his knees. "This way, towards the east of the city." He points out. "The fastest way, i dont like wasting time" Xeno-3 reminds. The group decides to walk, instead of the risk of losing the captives if they took their sparrows. Walking through the demonlished city. Stores completely empty, fires still burning at the bottom of buildings, even through windows in condo's and apartments. Shattered glass everywhere. Homeless ones hide themselves just peeking out to see what is happening. Running away if the group gets too close. "They are terrified of us" Zara stressed. "Why do you think? These rogue guardians have taken everything away, really damaging lives my friend" Kaleka reminds Zara. "Its bad down here, really bad. We will save everyone right?" Jasper asks the group. Luce replies: "If we stay together as a fireteam, we will.......Do it for old times sake."
