Asuna and Kirito's AfterStory Vol 1

The New Student

Asuna made it to school on time, as usual, she sat down at her desk and waited for the bell to ring.

"Hello everyone, today is Friday!" the teacher started. "I would like to introduce a new student, She will be joining our class!"

A girl with long orange hair, orange eyes, and a big black bow on the back of her head walked into the classroom. She was pretty tall and pretty but Asuna caught a bad vibe.

"Hello everyone! My name is Yumi, nice to meet all of you!"

The teacher told her where to sit, she nodded and walked towards the back of the classroom, and sat down in her assigned seat. She was 2 rows back from Asuna, she was also on the opposite side of the classroom.

Lunchtime came around and Asuna was waiting outside on the garden bench. "Why is Kirito so late?"

Kirito walked around the corner, he looked like he has been running. "Sorry I'm late, this girl was all over me."

"Who?" Asuna has an interesting look on her face, was it jealousy?

"No one special, this girl I have never seen before just came up to me and started to jump all over me," Kirito said while scratching his head.

"Kirito! Where did you go!" Yumi appeared from behind the building when she locked eyes with Asuna. "Kirito! There you are, I've been looking everywhere for you! Do you want to have lunch with me!" Yumi ran and clung to Kirito's arm.

Kirito looks at Asuna and sees that she's looking down at the concrete with an angry but sad face.

Yumi stopped in her tracks, "Kirito, who's this girl next to you. Is she your body pillow?"

Asuna shot up, glaring daggers at Yumi. "Body pillow?! Where the fuck you get that dumb ass idea?! Obviously not from your bright hair that should be covering your bright mind!"

Yumi's eyes went wide, "What did you say!"

Kirito never heard Asuna swear like that before, he didn't know what to do.

"Did I hit a nerve?" Asuna glared at Yumi

"You know what." Yumi glared back at Asuna. "How about we settle this in a sword fight in ALO, the loser leaves Kirito alone for a month!"

"Wait what!" Kirito shot up and looked at Asuna.

Asuna didn't change her expression at all, she was still glaring at her with hatred. "Fine, if you win I'll stay away from Kazuto for a month.

Yumi smiled slightly, "we'll meet after school at 5, see you then." Yumi turned around and headed back inside.

The day ended, Kirito looked all over campus for Asuna. "Did she go home early? No, she told me she had to make up a quiz after school. She's not in the classroom and she's not in the faculty room." Kirito got a hunch, he ran to the roof and saw Asuna crying looking beyond the rails. Kirito put his hands on Asuna's hips and leaned on her shoulder, She put her head on his.

"I'm sorry for snapping like that, especially in front of you but it drives me crazy when girls like that hit on you." Asuna cleaned her eyes.

"I will always be your one and only, I will never abandon you." Kirito slowly started to cry. "Asuna, please win this, I have faith in you. I couldn't live a month without you."

"I'll win this for sure," Asuna kissed his head. "I'll take my sword and stab her multiple times with it!"

Kirito gathered all his friends up, Silica, Liz, and Leafa were scared to see this fight go down, Agil and Klein were excited. Although Kirito wasn't sure how to feel about the fight. If anything he was nervous. They were in an area that was a circle of dirt, almost like where Asuna challenged Yuuki to a duel. Asuna and Yumi were in the middle. Yumi's avatar wasn't different than real life, she still had her beautiful orange hair and her soothing orange eyes. Her bow was still on the back of her head but her clothes weren't as fashionable, yet her sword was a katana, the handle was orange with an orange ribbon streaming from the handle.

"Is this really happening," Leafa said worriedly. "These two are going to fight to the death?"

"She'll win." Kirito smiles hiding the nervousness. "She's an SAO survivor after all."

Yumi opens the menu, selects the dueling tab, and sends Asuna a "dueling application." Asuna hits the blue circle and sets the time for 10 seconds. The timer goes down and the girls take their positions, 5....4....3....2.....1.....START! Asuna and Yumi run towards one another, slashing their swords. Yumi attacks but was blocked by Asuna's rapier, a wind of dust shoots out in all directions. Asuna attacks and cuts Yumi on the side, her face filled with pain. Yumi cuts Asuna on the leg, but she managed to hit her katana and forces Yumi backwards. They go at it for 10 minutes, each of their health bars goes in the red, and each of them has one more hit left. Everyone was so scared that Asuna was going to lose, especially Kirito.

"Don't lose! Win this for me! Win this for us!" Kirito yelled from the sidelines.

The girls go at it once more, Yumi throws her sword into action, Asuna blocks it, Blue dust explodes in the area. As the dust disappears Asuna sees Yumi running straight for her, her blade reaches  Asuna's face when time freezes. Asuna sees Kirito standing with a worried face but his face wasn't just worried, it was full of distress. She couldn't stand seeing him like that, as time resumed, Yumi's sword almost hits Asuna's face before she dodged it. Asuna then cuts Yumi down her back. Yumi disappears leaving Asuna the only one standing, she then falls to the ground with exhaustion.

"Asuna!" Kirito running towards her. "Asuna, are you okay?"

Asuna slowly opens her eyes, seeing Kirito and the others surrounding her. "I'm fine, just tired." Asuna sees her health bar with a little bit of red, one more scratch and she would've been dead.

"Mama! Are you okay?" Yui pops out of Kirito"s pocket and lands on Asuna's shoulder.

"I'm fine Yui, don't worry about me." Asuna slowly sits up, Kirito hugs her tightly.

"I'm so glad you pulled it off, you did it...." Kirito slowly starts to cry.
