~Gage's P.O.V~
Danny ended up staying in my room for about another hour before he was pulled away by Kon. I was pleased by him actually talking to me without feeling awkward. He was a man of few words, but was able to keep up an interesting conversation. Maybe now its time I made a conversation with Kimberly...
I jumped out of my bed and took a peek out my bedroom door. After making sure she wasn't out there I made my way over to her bedroom. As I walked to her door I had rehearsed what I was going to say to her over and over again.
I was going to apologize and tell her that I only thought of Danny as a friend. Even though a lie, I didn't mind letting my sister have him. You never know, maybe I could have some Danny time myself when she wasn't looking.
I walked up to her room and set an echoing knock on it. Kimberly said a come in and I pushed the door open. Walking in it as it opened.
"Kim, I need to talk to you."
She rolled her eyes, "what?"
"I'm sorry." I said looking down.
Her head shot up to me, yet I couldn't make eye contact. "For what?" She asked.
"This whole Danny thing. I liked it better when we got along. And anyway, I really don't like him like that. Just more of a good friend. Maybe you should apologize to him yourself. I think you two got off on the wrong foot here."
She got up from her bed and walked over to her. "Come here." She giggled.
I ran over to her and we wrapped each other in a hug. "Thank you." I said.
She unwrapped me. "Thank you for what?"
"Thank you for forgiving me."
~Danny's P.O.V~
I was vacuuming the floor when I heard soft talking coming down from the stairs. When I looked up it was Kimberly and Gage. Well I'm glad to hear that their fine and dandy. I decided to ignore them and continue my job. My vacuum came to an abrupt stop when two sets of feet jumped in front of it. I looked up to see Kimberly and Gage. I let out an annoyed sigh and turned off the vacuum.
"What?" I said uninterested.
"I'm sorry about how I was acting. I hope we can still be friends!" Kimberly smiled.
I looked up at her with my mouth half open... No one was really ever this nice to me until I came here. Really, their great people.
"Yeah, it's cool." I half smiled back.
"Sweet!" Kimberly shrieked, jumping into my arms for a hug.
Uncomfortably I hugged her back. Without thinking I looked up at Gage whose head was faced the other way, hair in his eyes. I cleared my throat and pulled away, going back to the vacuum.
"Thanks." I mumbled before continuing to clean the floors.
Without my realization they had both left me with my thoughts. It was nice not to be on Kimberly's bad side anymore. But I can't seem to get Gage's face out of my head. He looked so... Upset. Really upset, like he was about to cry maybe? Was it because I was hugging Kimberly? He wasn't jealous was he? Not like I would care if he was or anything...
I sighed as I winded up the cord to the vacuum.
Men, there so confusing!

A/N: It's short, it's sweet, it's all I'm updating until I finish school. But don't worry I only have 3 days left. So yeah but I need to focus on exams right now. We have half days so maybe I'll squeeze in a little writing, but I do plan to finish this book within the first month of Summer, then I'm going back to Dancing In The Dark. After that, it goes to Destiny's Violin.
