Chapter Thirty

~Danny's P.O.V.~

The next day when I had finished getting ready, I was back to my old routine. Luckily for me, Mr. Kon was being easy on me and not making me scrub the floor. My ribs have his thanks. They still ached a bit, but they were healing which I was also thankful for.

I sighed as I wrapped the vacuum cord back in its place. I rolled it acrossed the floor and down the hallway to the closet that held all the cleaning products. The door creaked its way open, and I shoved the vacuum inside.

I cracked my back before making my way upstairs for a shower. When I walked into my room, I found Sophie, Kenzie and Locke all huddled up on my bed, watching a movie.

"Hi Danny." Locke said, gathering the attention of Sophie and Kenzie.

"Hi, I'm uh, going to take a shower." I said, pointing to the bathroom door.

"Well you have fun with that dear." Kenzie giggled before they all turned their eyes back to the televising.

I nodded to myself and made my way over to the bathroom. Stripping down before jumping into the shower. I sighed as the warm water cascaded down my body. Little droplets hung safely at the tips of my hair. I looked over to the shelves in the shower that held the shampoo. I reached over to it and grabbed the bottle. Squeezing a generous amount into my hand, I began to scrub my scalp. After the subs began to run down my neck and back I washed it out. I washed my body, then got out.

I quickly dried off my body and shook off my hair. I threw my clothes on before walking out back into my bedroom. Both Kenzie and Sophie was in a hysteria of laughter, while Locke simply shook his head and smiled.

"What are you watching?" I asked, sitting down on the floor, leaning on my bed.

"Honestly we have no idea." Locke said. "We just turned your TV on and this was on... I have a question for you." Locke finished.

I looked up at him. "What?"

"The hell you watching here?" He blurted out, causing Sophie to giggle.

I rolled my eyes, "Half of the time, I don't even know what I'm watching."

I felt a hand pat my head, by the size of it I could already tell it was Locke's. He was a "man of few words" but he was a good friend.

 Suddenly there was a soft knock at my door. "Yeah, it's open." I said. 

The door slowly opened and Gage entered. "I hate school." Gage groaned.

I frowned. "What happened?"

He walked over and sat next to me. "You're right, English people are douches."

He set his head on my lap and looked up at the TV. I ran my fingers though his hair and whispered to him again. "Gage, what happened?"

He looked up at me and shrugged. "It's not a big deal, just people saying stupid things."

"Like what?" I pushed.

He looked away a mumbled , "Fag."

I felt a pang of pain throb in my heart and stomach. "I didn't know there were people like that at your school."

Once again he shrugged. "They usually don't bother me because they're intimidated about my families money, but now their "leader's" dad got a better job, or something so now he has more money then us. So now he thinks hes top shit, it's annoying." He whispered up to me.

"I'm so sorry." I sighed, lowering my head and kissing the top of his.

He smiled up at me, "It's okay, I don't really care. They'll leave me alone soon enough." He stated in a hopeful tone.

"They aren't, you know... Like beating you up or anything, are they?"

He looked at me as if I were crazy, "No, why would they do that?"

I turned my eyes back to the TV, "I've just seen that happen before at my school."

Quickly Gage sat up. "Did you do anything about it."

Ashamed I looked at my hands, one hand pulling at the other. "No... I, I just didn't really care before..."

Gage sighed and also looked down. "It's okay, everyone makes mistakes. I know you would do something about it know if you could." He stated.

I smiled, "I think I would too."

Gage smiled and pulled me over to him, kissing the top of my head. "It's like were not even here." I heard Sophie whisper to both Locke and Kenzie.

Gage must have heard too because in sync we both looked up at them. Sophie exploded into giggles. "They heard me!"

"Duh, you whisper like an elephant." Locke stated.

 She glared at Locke for a moment before turning to us. "Your house is really pretty." She said dazed.

Gage grinned up at her. "Thank you."

"Yeah, you're welcome! But... Why are we sitting around when we should be shopping?" Sophie frowned pushing on Locke.

Locke sighed in defeat and looked over to both girls who held stars in their eyes. "Do I have to escort you?" He groaned.

"Yup!" Kenize giggle jumping off my bed, pulling Locke with her.  Sophie followed close bye. "Bye Danny, Gage!" Sophie shouted a giggle.

I shook my head. "Their weird."

Gage chuckled and moved to sit on my bed. "We should go out sometime."

"That would be really fun! I've wanted to see more of England." I agreed eagerly.

"Good, how about tomorrow when I get home from school."

"Yeah! That sounds fun."

"Good." Gage said, pulling my face to his, pecking my lips. "It could be like our first date."

I felt butterflies explode inside me. I couldn't stop the smile that stretched across my face. "It could be couldn't it." 

Gage chuckled behind me, pulling me up on the bed with him. He snuggled me up to him holding me close. "I'm so glad we met."

I looked up at him and kissed him quickly. "Me too." I giggled.

Woe, I'm so sorry it took me so long to update. I've been in pretty bad shape up to where I have to get home schooled for the rest of the year. Ugh, I'll try to update more then once a month. Please bare with me I'm trying my best! ^-^ I hope this chapter is longer then the last one lol, my first one page chapter... Yeah, it really disappointed me.
