Chapter Seven

Where are they?

Soon a bright torch light was shinning in my eyes and even though I tried shield my eye from the blinding light with my hand but I still couldn't see who it was. Three more people came down the stairs and helped us up. I could easily tell that there were one boy and two girls helping. A strong hand picked me up by my arm and held me close as we' struggled back up the cold metal stairs.

After climbing many steep flights of stairs we were all in a stone room with tiny windows in the roof. Through the windows I could see a bright blue sky through dark green leafs, the trees towered over the room like giants.

The last thing I remember was hearing a voice saying

"Try to stay awake" and "Don't close your eyes"

Awoke startled by the crackling of the fire that burned brightly to light up the night. I slowly sat up to look around but a tough hand pushed my forehead back down.

"Your awake" A familiar voice says "You had me worried"

I could see Mike sitting next to me carving a spear out of a long thick stick with his knife.

"How long was I out?" I asked shaking the dizziness away.

"A couple of days" Mike got up and grabbed a small hand crafted wood box and opened it up to reveal a few leaves and pills. He picked a bottle of pills and told me to swallow while chewing the leaves.

The leaves tasted like the mint we have at home. I felt a lot better now and was able to stand up.

We were in a small clearing with a tiny waterfall that went through the middle. The trees danced in the wind to the birds songs.

"Where's everyone?" I asked grabbing a spear he had made earlier.

"Don't know" He replied "As we ran through the forest we all lost each other"

I got up and frowned, so to get it clear. We were in a forest slit up with heaps of dangers and apparently some guy who has guards chasing us. Yep I'm fine, couldn't be better.

Srry for the short chapter but I need ideas, but anyway pls
