Marinette seemed on edge as she heard a soft thud next to her, labored breathing making her ears ring. She quickly turned to the leather-clad boy and looked him over. He bowed to her, his messy blonde locks obstructing her view of his face. "Whatever could you need at this hour, M'lady?" He stood up straight and his green eyes met her bluebell ones. "Chat Noir, l have something to show you." She was confident this is the last time she'd see the man.

With small, shaking steps she approached the man before transforming before him. It was almost cinematic what she had done, making Chat's jaw nearly hit the floor as his eyes registered Marinette in all her glory. Her hands quickly flew to her ears and damn ner tore the studs out of her fragile ears, shoving them into Chat Noir's nervous palms. "I don't what these anymore, I don't want this anymore. Chat Noir was absolutely floored at this realization, how could she not want to be Ladybug anymore? Paris needed her, he needed her. He went to speak but was quickly cut off by the sullen Marinette who didn't seem to want to listen to the obvious plea that was soon to escape past his peach-toned lips.

Her hand was up to him as she began to walk away but he refused to let her escape so easily, his hand roughly wrapping around her wrist, causing her to cry out in pain. He was confused, he hadn't grabbed her nearly hard enough to elicit any pain from the girl. For a moment she almost seemed fearful to have shown any reaction to his touch, his eyes moving down to her wrist to see the beginning of a terrifying truth. In a blaze of fury, he tore down her sleeves and examined her arms, the scared and damaged mess that was left of them anyway. He seemed to bubble over with anger that was not directed at her but himself. His eyes moved down to her face, she looked utterly terrified which only made him drop her wrist. He had never intended to hurt Marinette.

The girl attempted to scuttle away but was stopped as she heard Chat call out to his kwamii to de-transform him. She couldn't help but want to look back and get a glance at who her partner had been all this time. Her eyes watering and hatred stewing up in her heart as she realized who was standing before her cowering body. "Adrien Agreste?" Her tone didn't sound like the sickly sweet and loving tone he had always imagined she'd have when she found out it was him, her tone held nothing but malice and contempt. Her body straightened up as she stood to full attention and turned from him. "I want nothing to do with this, with you." Her body turned to leave once more but he wrapped his arms around her before she could escape from him.

"Please Marinette, don't cast me out of your life before I even get to be a part of it!" He sounded desperate, not even Marinette could ignore that but she still couldn't let go of all the pain he caused her. "Please! Tell me what happened here? What happened to make you do this to yourself?"

"You happened, Adrien! You happened to me, cursed my normal life." Her words were dripping with the oozing black sticky fluid that was hate. A superheroine shouldn't sound this way, she's supposed to be the happy, optimistic one. He let her go as if she has burned him just by touching her, he didn't recognize the girl in front of him, the one he once dared to call an everyday Ladybug. Little had he known she was the real deal. Due to this ordeal, they quickly went from star-crossed lovers to tragic enemies, although the enemies part was pretty one-sided from Adrien's point of view.

He approached her, hoping to fix things with one smooth move, quickly twisting her in his arms and pressing his lips to hers. For a moment, Marinette gave into the feeling and warmth she had craved from Adrien for so long now. Though she couldn't be sure if the moment was genuine or even quite full of emotion for him. Upon further inspection, she realized she was too numb to quite a process the emotions she was feeling, but she was sure of one emotion, anger. She let herself revel in the kiss a few seconds longer, wishing to regret how good he felt, hoe deep down she still desires to be held by him. How much could one boy emotionally devastate you but also bring you to life at the same time? She wanted to scream out and claim to hate him but for the moment she did nothing of the sort and let herself be weak, an inner battle on whether to stay like this or not waged within her but anger won out after all.
