Ruby's POV

Tyler sat next to me as we drove him and Tre to the airport. I was silently crying in a corner, Tyler holding my hand.

"I'll be back..." he whispered.

"I...I know. But....when? I've already lost my mom-" I cried into his shoulder. Billie stopped at a red light and looked at me.

"Ruby..." he put his hand on my shoulder. "It's going to be okay..."

"I'm going to miss you."

"Trust me I'm going to miss you too." Tyler kissed my head and I smiled.

We let Tyler and Tre go back home, I cried most of the way back to my house.

I went straight up to my room and fell asleep hoping Tyler would honestly come back very soon.

*BILLIE'S POV*

God I hate watching her cry. It's like a hurt puppy.

I called Adrienne and asked if she wanted to go out to dinner with me and Ruby. She said she'd be on her way. I slowly walked up to Ruby's room and knocked on the door. I slowly opened it and peaked my head in.

"Ruby?" I said, quietly. I saw her sitting on her bed, browsing her phone. She looked up at me and smiled.

"Hey dad." she said meekly.

I sat next to her on her bed and smiled. "We're gonna go out to dinner with Adrienne in a bit, if you want to..." I trailed off, her eyes were puffy and red from crying.

"Yeah, that'd be great." she said, yet had no emotion in her voice. She's broken.

"If you don't want to I can call Adrienne-"

"No dad. It's fine." she said in a firm voice. Just like her mother. Even when she was sad, she'd get her point across firmly. "Dad?" she said, worry now present in her voice. She wiped a tear that I didn't know was there. I hugged her tight and cried into her shoulder.

"Ruby I'm so sorry. This is my fault I never should have left-"

"Dad. Dad it's okay. Calm down." she said hugging me back. "Your eyeliner is running." she smiled, making me laugh.

"Alright, I'm fine. You should get ready."

"Alright dad." she hugged me onece more before I left her room.

*RUBY'S POV*

I sat on my bed for a moment before realizing, I didn't have anything to wear. I went out of my bedroom and down the hall. I knocked on my dad's bedroom door and entered.

"Dad?"

"In the bathroom!" I heard a muffled yell coming from his personal bathroom.

I decided to look at the pictures on his wall, most of them old pictures of the band. One was different though. It was a picture of him and a really beautiful woman. Billie had blue hair and a nose ring. I laughed at it for a moment before realizing, that beautiful woman was my mom. I smiled as I picked up the picture and held it to my chest.

I heard the bathroom door open and Billie stood there looking at me and the picture. He ran over and jerked it out of my hand. "Don't touch that Ruby! God that's the most important thing to me in my life." he set it down with care as he looked at it. I had tears in my eyes as I started towards the door. "Ruby..." I turned around and looked at him.

"What?"

"I'm...I'm sorry Ruby. I didn't mean to yell-"

"I don't have anything to wear to dinner. I'm not going." I turned and walked down the hall back into my room. I called Tyler.
