Cook

"Cook." I heard someone whisper. "He's no good, Cook." I heard again I recognizes that voice. Freddie.

What was Freddie doing here? He's not supposed to be here. He's dead.

When I opened my eyes, he was standing by my bedside. It was really him.

"Freds? Is that really you?" I asked. He didn't respond. He just looked at me with a blank expression on his face. He's kinda scaring me a little.

I sat up to give him a hug, but when I did he disappeared in my arms.

"No!" I said. "What happened?"

And then I was awakened by my alarm.

"It was just a stupid dream." I said to myself.

Just a stupid dream.

I walked through the hallways of Belmont trying to find my first class.

When I finally found it the teacher wasn't in yet. This school had a thing when a teacher isn't in for 15 minutes, they can leave.

I didn't notice it before, but Franny was in this class. She looked sad. I wonder what happened yesterday after I left.

I walk through the aisle of desks to go sit next to her.

"Hi." I said as a sat down.
"This is not your sit Cook." She said. I ignored her statement and asked, "What's wrong? Why are you sad?"

"It's nothing." I wasn't to convinced that It was nothing, but since I didn't know her that well, I didn't want to get her angry, so I left it and went back to my original sit.

Then the teacher came in. If he had just waited 5 more minutes, I would have been out of here.

I really don't like school if you hadn't noticed.

I sat at the table I was so rudely asked to move from yesterday, but then discovered that it was only a joke and waited for the guys to get here.

Ricky was the first to sit down, then Kain, Corey, Bobby, but no Jc or Franny.

Well, I wouldn't blame Jc for avoiding me after yesterday and I guess that something happened to Kain and Franny because Kain looks really sad right now and the fact that Franny was upset earlier.

"Where's Jc?" I asked Kain, curious to his whereabouts. Then someone plopped down on the seat besides me.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

I guess I can scratch off him avoiding me.

"Hey." He said, looking at everyone first and then me. He quickly drew his eyes towards the front.

It's kinda awkward to me—him sitting here.

"So, Cook." Bobby started, "We're having a party tonight. Wanna come?" He asked.

If anyone knows me personally, they would know that I love party. But if it's a party where Jc's going to be, if fear something that I or he does not want to happen, might happen.

"Uh, no thanks. I'm busy tonight." I reply. "Maybe next time."

--

For the entire lunch period Jc and I didn't talk.We sneaked glances at each other, but that was it.

I don't like this feeling of not being able to speak to him. I hope eventually we could speak to each other.

I know that I don't know him or any of them that much, but it still feels weird.
