"Come on Nessa, you have to realize it's time to move on," Skylar says to her best friend, Vanessa. They are hanging out in Vanessa's room like usual. "You and Justin broke up three weeks ago. It's time to get over him. He moved on, so should you." "He did? When and with who?" Vanessa asks crawling across the bed. "He's been dating Hayley for the past two and a half weeks. It's been all the people at school can talk about lately. How have you not heard about it?" Skylar questions. "I don't listen to school gossip." Vanessa groans and lays down. Skylar looks at her pathetic friend and tries to think of ways to cheer her up.

"Why don't we do something fun?" Skylar suggests. Vanessa looks up at her friend. "Like what?" She asks. "I heard Logan is having a party tonight. Why don't we go?" Vanessa rolls over onto her back and sighs. "You know my mom is not going to let go." "So sneak out." "I can't do that. She'll ground me if she found out." "Who says she has to find out? I'm not going to say anything, and you 're not going to say anything. She'll never know." Vanessa is about to answer when there is a knock at the door. Vanessa yells 'it's open, ' and her maid walks in. "Miss Vanessa, it's time for your friend to leave. Your mother says it's time for dinner." Jacquelyn says.

"Thanks, Jacquelyn. Tell my mother I'll be down soon." Vanessa tells her. Jacquelyn nods and leaves the bedroom. "Must be nice to be the richest girl in town," Skylar says laughing. Vanessa rolls her eyes, and they both climb off of the bed. They walk out of the room, down the stairs, and to the front door. "So I'll see you at Logan's party right?" Skylar asks. "Sky, I don't know. I don't want-" "Right?" Skylar asks, cutting her off. Vanessa sighs and nods her head. "Good," Skylar says smiling. They say their goodbyes and then part ways. Vanessa leaves the foyer and heads to the dining room for dinner.

"So nice of you to join us." Vanessa's mother, Nancy says. Vanessa just gives a tight-lipped smile and sits down. Jacquelyn brings Vanessa her dinner and heads back into the kitchen. Dinner was silent as always, minus the rude remarks her mother would make towards her. Vanessa could never figure out why her mother hated her and her older brother, Grayson, so much. "Is dad coming home tonight?" Kenzie, Vanessa's younger sister, asks. "Yes, he should be home soon," Nancy says with the smile. Vanessa and Grayson roll their eyes and continue to eat in silence. Once dinner was over, Vanessa rushes up to her room and hops onto her computer.

Cry_Baby: Hey guys whats going on?

MidnightAngel: Nothing much just trying to figure out what to wear to Logan's party.

Cry_Baby: Tammy you look great in anything that you wear.

MidnightAngel: Thanks, V, but this one has to be extra hot.

EpicCupCake: Who are you trying to impress?

MidnightAngel: Don't worry about that, Skylar. Have to go girls.

*MidnightAngel has logged off*

EpicCupCake: So Nessa, you still coming tonight? The party starts at 11.

Cry_Baby: I already told you I was.

EpicCupCake: Good. I'll be outside of your house at 10:30 to get you. Bye now.
