Tyler sat at his desk listening to his teacher speak painfully slow about American history. History was Tyler's least favorite subject. It bored him more than anything.

And he was already tired, having it be the end of the day. At least he had two of his best friends in class with him, Melanie and Ryan. They always kept him awake by tossing balls of paper across the room, each one skillfully hitting Tyler's head.

He was bored so he closed his eyes and thought about his boyfriend, Joshua. He was so dreamy. Toned abs, thick muscles, and pastel pink hair. Josh's hair color changed frequently, based on whatever Tyler wanted it to be. It was green before that. And orange before that. Josh was so kind to Tyler. So caring and loyal. Tyler felt very lucky to have him.

Tyler was over all a very lucky boy. He was 17 years old, had a very accepting family, and a great group of friends. Everything was pretty much perfect.

He had Melanie, the sweetest person ever.

Ashley, Melanie's loving and quirky girlfriend.

Brendon, the hilarious clown who was always high.

Ryan, the timid but adorable little guy, who Brendon loves to hit on and tease.

And then there was josh. Oh Josh.

"Tyler!" Mr. Way abruptly interrupted Tyler's thoughts. "Can you please answer my question?"

"W- what?" Tyler's face burned red with embarrassment. Snickers were heard from the back of the room. Mr. Way's eyes burned into him expectantly.

The bell rung.

Perfect timing. Children swarmed out the door in a hurry to do whatever they were going to do next. Tyler loved that shrill sound. It meant school was finished. He gathered his things and pushed his way out to the hall.

"Wait! There's homework!" Mr. Way shouted.

No one cared.

"Hey Ty, wanna come over? The whole gangs coming."  Brendon asked, catching up with Tyler. "Yeah sure." Tyler shrugged.

*Time skip to Brendon's house*

"Do you ever wonder what life on other planets is like? I mean, think about it. Aliens. What kind of food do they eat on Neptune?" Josh ponders, lying on the carpeted floor. "Nobody lives on Neptune, Josh." Ashley laughs. "How would you know?"

Melanie giggles. "Yeah Ash, how would you know?"

Ryan grabs a slice of pizza from the box in the middle of the floor and stands up. "Where are you going?" Brendon asks. "I was gonna get my laptop. Do you want to watch a movie?" Was his answer. Everybody cheers and shoos Ryan away to go get the computer. Ryan comes back and sits down.

"What shall we watch today, children?" Brendon inquires, taking control of the keyboard.

"Hey look! Netflix has The Boy in Striped Pajamas!" Tyler exclaimed, pointing a finger at the screen. Tearjerkers were always his favorite.

By the end, Brendon and Melanie were sobbing into each others shoulders, and the rest of them were rolling on the floor laughing at the two. "THE LITTLE BOYS JUST DIED THEY DIDNT DESERVE IT!" Brendon wailed. "Man up, Bren. It's just a movie." Josh chuckled. "BUT HES RIGHT! AND ITS NOT JUST A MOVIE! DURING THE HOLOCAUST STUFF EVEN WORSE THAN THAT HAPPENED ALL THE TIME! TO INNOCENT LITTLE CHILDREN!" Melanie agreed with Brendon.

They ended up watching the entire first season of BoJack Horseman after Brendon and Melanie stopped crying. They all somehow managed to doze off. But they were all pretty sleepy.

"Hey I'm gonna go to bed. I'm super tired." Tyler sighed. "Same" Ryan nodded. "Aw you guys are no fun!" Pouted Ashley, who happened to be the only wide awake person there. "I'm actually really tired too." Josh stood up and grabbed some blankets and pillows from Brendon's towel closet.

The rest of them gave in to going to bed and after everyone was cosy, they all fell asleep.

"WAKE THE FUCK UP BITCHES ITS SATURDAY!"

Everyone groaned. "Fuck off Brendon." Josh murmured.

Brendon didn't fuck off. He just kept screaming.

"RISE AND SHINE LADIES I MADE BURGERS!"

"Burgers? It's like 7 am." Tyler sighed. He would never get used to Brendon's craziness. "Who cares what time it is. Burgers are amazing at any time of the day." Everyone reluctantly pealed their tired bodies from the floor and dragged themselves to the kitchen. A giddy Brendon gave them each a steaming hamburger, loaded with a thick patty, cheese, and a variety of sauces and vegetables. "Do you realize how insane you are?" Ashley laughed in disbelief. "Yep. Dig in." Brendon smiled and took a sloppy bite. All the food was gone in 5 minutes.

"How do you manage to make 6 high quality burgers before 7 am while everyone's asleep?" Ryan wondered. "You only wish you knew, babe." Brendon winked. A blush crept across Ryan's face and his gaze drifted to the sink. Melanie and Ashley laughed. "You guys should totally date. You're like my OTP. Not even kidding." Melanie giggled. "What about us?!" Josh scoffs, pulling Tyler close. "Aw. Well it goes without saying that you two are the perfect couple. You know I ship it with my life. Everyone does." Tyler joins Ryan in his blush.

There was a moment of Tyler and Ryan blushing, Josh and Brendon smirking, and the two girls snickering over the four. Then it died down and there was a slight awkward silence.

"Sooooo..... the weathers nice. Anyone up for taking a walk?" Ashley offered.

It was chilly outside. There was no rain and the sky was clear but the temperature was still low, since it was mid-autumn. The group walked through neighborhoods, just joking around and being silly. "You're fucking retarded Brendon." Josh cackled as his friend attempted walking on his hands. "I've done it before I know I can do it." Brendon tried again, just to tip and fall, crashing into the cement.

"Look. It's Patrick Mansion.  That place gives me the creeps." Tyler pointed over at the famous massive house that loomed over the entire neighborhood. Nobody knew who lived in it. It was said to be haunted. That was just a childhood myth but everyone still keeps their distance. "God I hate that thing." Melanie grimaced at the ragged old building.

"Dare you to go inside." Ashley nudged the quivering Ryan towards the mansions direction. "Hell no." Ryan shook his head firmly. "Come on, I'll go with you." She smirked. Brendon, Josh, Tyler, and Melanie watched as the two timidly trudged through the yard and up to the front door. Ashley knocked. Nothing. She tried the door handle. It was unlocked and it creeped open halfway.

"Be careful!" Tyler shouted nervously. "This is a fucking terrible idea! Come back!" Josh hollered at them. They ignored their yells.

Ryan and Ashley cautiously entered. The others watched nervously from a distance. The door closed behind them. "For fucks sake. Those idiots. Haven't they learned from all horror movies to NOT close the door behind them after entering a sketchy haunted mansion?" Brendon joked. "What if they don't come out?" Tyler shakily asked. "They will. They're just messing with us. There's nothing in there anyway." Melanie reassured..

It's been 25 minutes.

"Josh, they still haven't come back I'm really worried. It's been a long time." Tyler whined. "True. Let's go check on them." Josh said, leading the way up to the porch. Three of the friends stepped in. And Tyler, much to his dislike, was pulled in after them.

It was dark. It was damp. The door slammed behind them.
