Joining the Band

Hey guys, sorry for the interruption, I just wanna say that if you have any questions feel free to comment and ask! Also I could benefit from some ideas for the story if anyone has any.

Btw this is set a couple years ago when Dan was 24 and he'd just met Kyle, yes I know he's almost 28 now ;)

Kyle's P.O.V (WOO!)

Dan Smith asked me to be in his band!!

Sorry, I had to get that out of my system. I'm still in shock. This band is going to be a worldwide sensation one day, with his voice. He sings like an angel.

He doesn't know this, but I used to watch him walking around during Uni and wondered what it would be like to know him personally. He's the most perfect looking man I've ever seen. I fell in love with his ocean blue eyes, his messy hair and the way he hurried around university, shyly avoiding strangers.
Woah, that sure sounds creepy but I'm not lying.

I had a bit of a crush on him for a long while during Uni, and now that we've both left Uni I thought I'd never see him again. A lot of my University friends knew of him because he mixed with musical people like me, and most of my mates are musical (we all studied Music Theory). But I never developed the confidence to speak to him.

He would never like me in that way anyway. It's embarrassing knowing I'm probably in love with a guy who has a girlfriend.

I still can't believe how I managed to play it cool with him when he spoke to me yesterday - I mean it's not like he's the one man I've dreamed about and imagined a relationship with or anything.

He doesn't know how much he means to me - he just thinks I'm some dude who saw him around Uni once or twice and didn't think much of it!
Truth is, I kinda stalked him just so I could look at him.

I don't think he knew who I was when he saw me in Starbucks, though I wonder why he came over to me yesterday. I guess I'm one of Dan's thousands of other guys who have been spotted by him and asked to join his band.

Obviously I've said yes to his request; I'm in the band!
