CHAPTER THIRTY SEVEN:
Four months pass and it's our first Christmas as a family.
Harry's so cute, he made her a little pink stocking and put it over the fire place. He filled it with cute little baby stuff... she's obviously too young to understand but Harry doesn't care.
Two more months pass...
Harry is literally the best father ever.
He's there for literally every moment and doesn't miss a thing. Darcy's started to teeth and crawl.. and has even started her babbling.
Her first "word" was dada. He was playing with her and she said it, his face was priceless.
I'll admit, I'm a little jealous that dada was her first word, but it didn't surprise me. She's such a daddy's girl.
Another couple of months pass and she's improved her speech and is already walking. Harry was playing on the floor with her and was holding her up. He wanted her to walk by herself.. so he started walking over her, holding her little hands.
His hands are too big, so her little hand wrapped around a few of his fingers. After a few steps, he slowly let go and she was walking by herself.
Another few months fly by, and she's gotten so big. Unbelievably big. Sometimes it's hard to realize just how fast time has gone and how much bigger she's getting by the day.
Her birthday is today and we planned her a little party.
"Did you pick everything up?" Harry asks as I walk through the door.
"I'm pretty sure." I lay all the bags down on the counter.
I look over to see Darcy hanging around Harry's neck.. like a monkey. She's always done that, she's just so attached to him. We always joke about it and call her out "Little hanger".
"Do you want me to take Darcy into the back room now?" Zayn asks as he walks towards us.
He takes Darcy and they play in the back room together, so we can decorate the living room.
Harry does most of the decorating... he has to have absolutely everything perfect for her. It's so cute.
There's pink streamers, pink balloons, a little pink princess cake, party food for the guests and a big pink banner that's hanging along the wall that reads: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARCY!
It's not like she's going to understand any of this or even acknowledge it, she's just a baby... but Harry refused anything less.
I mean, she's only one and Harry's obsessing over her birthday... she's going to be so spoiled on her sweet sixteen.
Slowly, everyone shows up... Anne, some of Anne's friends, Eleanor and Louis, their family and their small children, and then Niall. Honestly, I'm surprised he actually showed.
He's such a different person now. So sketchy and never around. It's sad, really.
We all surprise Darcy and sing Happy Birthday, watched her blow out her candles, and then she played with the other children there.
Harry makes sure to take lots of pictures.
Just before everyone leaves, she opens the presents. She got so many things... especially from her father.
I swear, he had bought every single doll in the store.
After everyone left and once Darcy feel asleep... Harry walks in and crows into bed with me. He wraps his arm around me and cuddles.
Just as I'm about to fall asleep, he sits up and turns the light on. "Hey, babe?" I sit up with him, "yeah?" He grabs my hand and stares into my eyes.
"I think it's time."
Does he want another kid? I don't even know what to say. I just look at him.
He brings my hand up to his face and kisses it, "Let's get married... tomorrow."
