CHAPTER THIRTY ONE:
"Wait. What? He never came back to the house." I start to get extremely emotional at the thought of Harry being anywhere... or being in trouble.
"Can I use your phone?" I ask in a panic when I realize I left mine at home.
She lets me in and I start to dial his number.
It rings, but he doesn't pick up.
I immediately call again, this time it went straight to voice mail.
I start to freak out.
Where could he be? He's not home... and he's not here... his mom's!
I dial her number and she quickly answers:
hello?
Hey, Anne! It's Ashley, is Harry there? I know he probably doesn't want to talk, but I really need to talk to him. please...
He spent the night here and left just a few minutes ago, sorry dear. Is everything okay?
Yeah...
My voice breaks and I almost burst out into tears, relieved that he's okay and on his way home.
If you're trying to find him, I think he said something about going to the point. I'm not sure where that-
Okay, thank you!
I cut her off and end the conversation early. I feel bad, but I got to get to Harry.
The point?
That's like an hour away. What's he doing there?
I literally run out to my car, without saying anything to Eleanor. I pull out quickly and get on the interstate as quickly as I can. A bad feeling comes over me, making me start to panic.
Something just isn't right.
I start to speed insanely fast, reaching up to ninety. I don't even care if a cop pulls me over, I can just tell something is about to happen.
I finally make it to the park, without getting pulled over. I got lucky.
I look in the parking lot and immediately spot his car. I run up to it and look inside of it, he isn't there. I see a trail in front of his car.. the trail to the point.
It's at least a ten minute hike, but I try my fastest. My heart starts to beat fast from exhaustion, I just get so tired so easily... but I desperately push myself.
Eventually, I reach the top. it's a flat area, before there's an insanely huge drop off with huge rocks at the bottom. Calling it a cliff is an understatement... I mean, you fall and you die.
It's actually a common place for suicide.
Wait...
Is that why he came here?
I feel my heart beating so fast I swear it's going to explode. I look forward into the distance and see a figure.
I run as fast as my feet can go.
As I get closer I recognize the figure, It's harry... standing at the edge.
