The morning sun shines brightly into the dark bedroom just as my eyes open for the first time after experiencing a life worth living due to last night. It's so bizarre to me. Being taken from a world where the only inhabitants are agony and fury breathing in a dark and sticky smog of negative intentions and put into a world of clarity. Somewhere where the air is crisp and actually fills my lungs helping me to breathe instead of suffocating me. A place where for once I feel safe and collected. Thanks to Ronnie, Im whole. I feel human. Sitting up rubbing my eyes, I look to my left seeing his pale sleeping form. We're both still entirely nude after last nights... "endeavors". It's best not to wake him yet. A sweet smile appears on my face now getting out of bed and putting on a pair of panties and Ronnie's red flannel from the party before. Good morning Charlie" I greet a very sleepy and snoring Charlie softly as I walk into the kitchen to begin cooking. My cell phone rings on the counter beside me flashing Juliets name. "Goodmorning" I yawn answering the phone. "Morning! You and Ronnie left so early last night Andy and I were worried. What happened?" Juliet sounds just as tired as I do. "Well...I saw him with his ex, Sally." My finger tips run along the granite counter top while I speak. "I sort of went into a panic mode. Honestly, I don't trust other people." "I understand that." She continues. "You trust Ronnie don't you?" "Well...Of course but I don't trust her or anyone else. Enough about the negative. Something...happened when we got home." Blood rushes to my cheeks almost immediately. "Ooh dish dish dish" sings Juliet excitedly. "Ah..we sort of got intimate." I pull my phone from my ear hearing her squeal. "I knew it would happen eventually! Sex with Ronnie is unavoidable so I've heard but what's amazing is it happened much later than I though." Says Juliet. "I play hard to get" A stifled laugh escapes from my mouth. "I'll text you later (y/n) Andy and I are going out for the day. Bye!" The phone line clicks. I sigh gently continuing to cook. A pair of tattooed arms snake around my waist moments after. "Good morninggg lover" Ronnie's sleepy voice is incredibly addictive. "Well well isn't someone in a good mood this morning?" Teeth come into contact with my neck causing a wave of enjoyment over my body. "Absolutely. Ready for round two sexy thing?" A slight purring sound rings in my ears. 'Ahh stop it your gonna make one of us get burnt!" I scream from receiving tickles to my sides. "Stop! I hate being tickled! Bitch!" His eyebrows shoot up in shock. "Fuck that's the first time I've ever heard you cuss. Daddy hates cussing. To the bedroom with you!" With an arm around my legs, Ronnie hoists me over his shoulder spinning me around creating more shrilled screams. Charlie begins barking in protest. "Charlie what are you barking at? Who's side are you on?" I chuckle watch Ronnie play with charlie after being put down. I've never seen this side of him before. Ronnie to me seems like an always brooding person. Now he seems...happy. I'm glad I've caused him some happiness with all that hes gone through in life. It feels like I have that 17 year old crazy kid that wore eye liner, kept his hair long and drove a motorcycle through the rain with me back again. All those years ago I thought I lost that crazy kid forever but hes right here in front of me again as if time had never moved forward. Blinking a few times, I realize the sentiment has made me start to cry. " (y/n)? Babe whats wrong..?" I jump when his hands hold my slender shoulders. "What? Nothing..Im okay I was just remembered some stuff from when I was a kid.." My voice aches softly. "What did you remember?" He pulls me gently to the couch. "Losing you the first time" I notice that Ronnie grows a bit pale. He remembers for sure. "Can I show you something..?" Standing up, I take him by the hand and walk into our bedroom pulling the same black box that the vest lived in all those years ago out from my portion of the closet. Removing the lid, three items rest in the box. "Here." I slide the box carefully across the bed towards him. "(Y/n)...you kept these..? All these years..?" His brown eyes soften at the contents. Laying in the bottom of the box lies the letter Ronnie had written to me the day he left, the rose now dark in color forever frozen in time and a Polaroid picture of seventeen year old Ronnie and I at that party, covered in glowing paint hand in hand side by side like we use to be. My favorite parts of the picture are little Ronnie's dorky smile and peace sign with his arm around my shoulders along with my stuck out tongue and one shut eye. Come to think of it, I don't remember taking this picture. I remember finding it in my vest days after he left town. "I held on to those things because I didn't want to believe that you were really gone. I held on to it until...eventually I accepted that you wouldn't but...I don't know if there's a God up there but something put you back into my life for a reason." My (y/e/c) eyes meet his misty brown pools. I've never bet seen Ronnie emotional. It's very clear that he's feeling something similar. Without hesitation, his arms go around my waist pulling me into a tight hug with his face against my neck. Smiling comfortingly, I bury my face into his shoulder returning the hug. "(Y/n)...I love you. Always have, and I'm always fucking going to"
