Izuku P.O.V.
"I wish you would just fucking die, Deku!"
Those were the words that Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku's long time friend, rival, and crush said to him.
'H-he didn't mean that right? H-e was just joking around...? Right?' He tried to make himself believe this, but deep down, his own words and hopes were being engulfed into a black hole found deep within himself.
~ Crack ~
It was as if his mind, soul, and heart had been shattered like glass. Izuku didn't know who he was anymore. What was he doing here? Should he leave or stay? Would it be better for everyone if he just died?
These thoughts swirled in his head as he stood rooted in the same position as when Katsuki had left him. The more he thought, the more he started hating himself and the more he started severely trembling in the corridor. He was all alone there...
...
...
His mind was slowly being swallowed up by a blackness that seemed so thick and impenetrable that it was almost like he was drowning in it...or lost in it...
...
...
slowly, slowly...gon-
"Hey Midoriya, what are you doing?"
A familiar and kind sounding voice filled Izuku's ears and started to clear his murky brain a little bit. A warm hand was placed on Izuku's shoulder from behind.
Izuku slowly turned around to find himself looking at mismatching eyes. "Todoroki-kun? W-what are you doing here?"
"I was worried about you and decided to check up on you in the infirmary..." As Todoroki kept talking though, Izuku's mind seemed to be elsewhere and he wasn't taking in or processing any of the words being said to him at the moment. He seemed to be in another world, and Todoroki noticed.
Todoroki grabbed both of Izuku's shoulders this time and looked at him worriedly. "Hey, what happened? You ok? You don't look so good."
"O-oh, it's n-nothing! I-I'm find!" Izuku quickly stuttered back his reply. 'I don't really want Todoroki knowing about what just happened between me and Kacchan. I feel like it might either result in a fight between Kacchan and Todoroki-kun or it could end with me having to explain to Todoroki-kun how I feel about Kacchan or just how I feel about everything in order to get him to understand. And both of those things I really don't want to happen.'
Todoroki looked unconvinced as he kept looking at Izuku but before he could get another question in, Izuku quickly bowed to him "Thanks for asking, but everything is f-fine! D-don't worry about me." It was all he could do to stop himself from just crawling into a ball and cry, but he instead lifted his head with a fake smile on his face and ran off towards the exit with a wave, leaving a confused and worried Todoroki behind.
Todorki P.O.V.
Todoroki slowly walked back to the classroom, deep in thought. They were going to look over the replays of how everyone did during the training. Well that's what they were supposed to do, but Katsuki and Izuku were both gone, the rest of the class was too busy chatting to really pay attention, and Todoroki's mind was too full with thoughts of Midoriya and questions about what could have happened to him. He frowned a bit when remembering how Midoriya had looked in the hall. It had seemed as if all the light was gone from those usually bright green eyes.
Todoroki clenched his hands in two fists down by his side in anger. He was not okay with seeing Midoriya looking like he had earlier, and he was determined to find out what happened. So he made up his mind to go look for Midoriya after everything was finished up at school.
Katsuki P.O.V.
Katsuki, after his little "talk" with Izuku was left angry and pissed at just about everything. He didn't want to go back to class to look at the replays because seeing that stupid Deku on screen using his quirk -- when he's supposed to be quirkless -- would only piss him off even more.
While cooling off in the hall, or well trying to by causing small explosions left and right, his mind wandered back to his last conversation with Izuku.
After almost spitting out his last words of hate and then leaving, he had stolen one last glace back at Izuku. His eyes grew a little big bigger with surprise when he saw Izuku's face. It was as if something had just punched the guy in the face just out of the blue.
Katsuki wanted to feel happy when he saw that look, but he didn't...he felt almost...strange and definitely not happy when seeing how Izuku looked.
'What is this feeling?! Gah!!' Katsuki sent another small explosion out with his frustration.
'It's almost like I regret saying what I did back there...What the fuck am I saying?! What's wrong with me?!'
Seeing as he only ended up even more pissed of, he shoved his hands in his pockets and with his bag slung over his shoulder, practically sulked in an angry manner towards the exit of the school and out into the street.
Izuku P.O.V.
After finally making it out of the school, Izuku turned and headed in the direction of home. He had decided to take the long route to get to his house so that he'd have more time to think things over and to get himself together and not be a sobbing mess by the time he got home to face his mom.
He was so deep in thought though that he soon ended up lost on some unfamiliar road. Since he had decided to take this different way home, he had no clue where he was or which way was the right direction to get home. 'Crap!' he panicked and quickly turned around and started running towards what he thought was the way back to school from where he was.
Being as panicky and running as fast as he was, he didn't notice it when a person had stepped out onto the sidewalk to block his path till it was too late and the two figures collided into each other. Izuku staggered back a little while holding the side of his head with one hand as it hurt a little from the impact with the man's chest, and he squeezed his eyes shut while doing this for a moment.
"I'm so sor-" Izuku was immediately cut short from finishing his sentence when he looked up and saw who it was that he just ran into. There was no denying that it was a villain, and one that he had met before. The hands that were placed all over the man's body gave him away. It was none other than Shigaraki.
Izuku took a step back in surprise and fear. "Y-you! W-what are you doing here?"
Shigaraki gave him a wicked smile that could probably frighten some of the world's evilest or worst people out there. "Why my dear Izuku, I'm here for you of course!"
Izuku's eyes widened once more, then gasped in shock as he felt a quick pain from a blow to the back of his neck. He fell forwards, his body collapsing as he drifted towards unconsciousness, though he was screaming at himself to not close his eyes and give in but it was to no avail...then all there was, was a solid and enveloping darkness in his mind.
(A/N: yay! I finally finished that. A bit longer chapter than the other two so far -- being 1200 words to the other's at 700 -- but I wanted to wrap up this almost introduction/beginning section as fast as possible as I was really dragging that out. Sorry everyone! Well thanks for reading everyone (and thanks for actually reading as I'm sitting here expecting no one to read this lol) and I hope you like this chapter! Be sure to comment and vote if you want to:) )
