Chapter 12:

"Ooof!" A familiar voice cried out as I landed on that person. June, had just threw me into an unfamiliar dark place.

"ELLA?!" I shrieked, overjoyed. "You're okay?!"

"Yeah, we both are. Well, except for the...bloody body art?" Germaine whined.

"GERMAINE! oh god you have no idea how relieved I am to know you both are safe. Where are we?"

"I don't know where are we cos we're blindfolded. You can see us?" Ella inquired.

"Blindfolded too, anyway, where's Greyson? How long are they gonna keep us here? What are we gonna do?" Trepidation was evident in my trembling voice.

"First, we'll try to help each other get free if its possible," Germ suggested.

"Alright, that's a good start I suppose. I doubt we have much time. I'm so sorry, Ella, Germ, I brought this upon us!"

"No! I wanted the tickets myself, so I should be blamed!"

"No, I was the one who made Sonia take his hand," Ella said glumly.

"Anyhow, this isn't the time to debate over who should take the blame! Oh god, this feels like a real kidnap!" It was so disturbing. The image of my family flashed before my blinded eyes. I could see my anxious mother pacing back and forth on the front porch. I felt around for my phone, before realising in despair that it had been taken away. Gawd.

"Where are you all? We gotta get down to work. The tape over my eyes is annoying!" Germ's bound hands brushed across my feet. "You Sonia?"

"Yes, now stay still while I work at your hands first," I grabbed her hands and started pulling at the ropes, causing my own tied hands to get rope-burns and cuts. I bit down on my lip and fumbled about. Fortunately, after a long while of tugging, the rope around Germaine's hand came loose. "YES!" I screamed.

"SHHHHHHHHH," Germaine reached up to undo our blindfolds.

My eyes started adjusting. It was dark and dusty.

"Looks like a warehouse," Ella commented while working on my wrists.

After our hands were free, we each worked on our own legs. Ella and Germaine managed to get free quickly but I seemed to have tightened my rope! Anxiety took over me.

"I can't get it out!" Beads of sweat formed on my forehead and trickled down my temples.

"Aah damn, Sonia, damn this, it's a dead knot!" Germ cried out in horror, just as the door handle started creaking. Someone was turning it.
