Chapter 10 (Ryder's POV)

HAPPY CHAPTER 10!!!!

In celebration of being in double digits, I've decided to do a little look into our favorite big bad wolf's POV!

Yes! You read that right! This is a really SHORT look into Ryder's mind while Mikky is unconscious. I thought I'd be nice and treat you guys to this randomly. I just want you guys to know WHY he did it.

Don't complain about the length or I will get my Purple sparkly unicorns to chase you down and force you to eat fruit cake! Yuck.

Ryder's POV

I watched Mikayla fall to the ground screaming in agony. I thought I was going to pass out as well.

I fell to my knees beside her. I held her head in my hands. "Shh, beautiful. We can be together again soon. He's gone my love. He's gone." I cooed like a little bitch and honestly I don't give a shit. I'm whipped and I couldn't be happier about it.

Her screaming got louder. My men were finishing the job.

The mark that he left on her delicate skin, grew red before it faded to a pink and disappeared altogether. She shrieked as her mark burned off her skin.

I felt hot tears going down my face. I did not like seeing her in pain. I will never cause her so much pain again. I will make this up to her. I vow it.

She screamed once more before passing out.

It was done. Alpha Logan was dead and my mate is no longer tied to him. This time tomorrow she might even wear my mark. Well, she'll probably kick my ass, but she'll forgive me eventually. Right?

I will forever hate myself for doing this to my mate, but she's mine. I couldn't have her leave me again. I just can't.

I love Mikayla. My wolf loves Mikayla. Her new found strength is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. She's lucky my wolf seeks her approval, or I may not have been able to control myself.

The second she left the first time, I regretted what I said to her.

I picked her up in my arms. I look forward to the day when she'll hang onto my neck when I pick her up. Now, her limp hands were flopping towards the floor.

I opened the door to my office and started walking to my bedroom.

I gently placed her on my bed. I pulled the covers over her and tucked her in.

Taking a step back, I sighed in pure contentment. This is where she belongs. My bed. With me.

I leaned in and kissed her forehead. "I really hope you forgive me soon mate. I can't wait for you to wake up."

There was a knock on the door.

I reluctant looked away from my soul mate and opened the door slightly.

Jay was standing there. I stepped out of the room and closed the door behind me.

"Speak." I ordered.

"The Alpha is dead. I really hope you know what you are doing, sir. You may have just started a war."

"I couldn't lose her, Jay." My voice broke on the last word.

"I know. I don't blame you. Just don't hurt her." He sighed.

I growled. "I won't."

"And Alpha or not, I'll kill you if you force yourself on her." He growled back.

"You will not disrespect me beta!" I roared at him. "Get out of here."

He looked me in the eye for half a second before bowing his head in submission.

"Now!" He scurried down the hall.

I walked back into my room and sat on the bed next to my future luna.

"No one can come between us now." I whispered to her running my hand through her hair. "No one."

Is it me or is Ryder not totally sane?

I guess seeing your mate loving someone else will do that to a wolf.

I'm going to update Mikky's waking up in her POV of course Wednesday. I'm going to start Chapter 11 right after I post this. I'm in a write-y mood today.

I hope you all enjoyed a look into Ryder's mind. Maybe you can understand him better now?

It's supposed to be extremely short by the way. I don't want to give away everything he is thinking. I could have done Ryder's POV then switched back to Mikky's and made a longer chapter, but this is more special this way. Plus chapter 10 wasn't supposed to be posted for another six days AND on top of that Chapter 11 will be posted in two days.

I missed the deadline for a while in Chapter 8. I got really bad writer's block, but I'M BACK BABY! I have the rest of the story fully planned out and updates will be about twice a week. YAY!

I'm going to be flying through the rest of the book. I can't wait to complete this. It's exciting!

Sorry for making the Author's note in this so long. I'm pretty sure no one even reads it. Lol
