I added another part to the previous chapter instead of making another full chapter before this, so MAKE SURE YOU READ IT!

Twelve Years Later

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

“Mommy!”

My four children jumped up and down on my bed.

“Go annoy Daddy.” I whined turning over and burying my face into my pillow.

My husband slept next to me. I swear that man could sleep through the apocalypse.

“But Mommy, it’s our birthday party today!” Jared grabbed my hand and attempted to pull me out of bed.

My parents thought it was hard dealing with two werewolf children, try four.

“I want cake for breakfast!” Dean jumped up and down.

“Happy birthday to us! Happy birthday to us! Happy birthday dear me and Aspen and Dean and Jared! Happy birthday to us!” Tristan sang jumping up and down on the bed.

“I’m getting up. Jeez.” I stood up and walked to the kitchen to get them breakfast. I’ve never been more grateful for pop-tarts and less grateful that the quadruplets learned to talk..

While they ate, I took a shower and got changed for the day.

Kids are a lot of work. I never wanted any. I just wanted a puppy. Ryder wanted nine kids. After a lot of persuasion, Ryder and I compromised. I could get a puppy and I would have one kid. When the doctor told me I was having quadruplets, I was in total shock. Ryder was happy and I still didn’t get a puppy. Nevertheless, I don’t hate them that much. I can’t help but to hate myself, though. I was so fierce and now I am a soccer mom. Ryder even tried to get me to buy a minivan. That didn’t work.

After they finished their sugary breakfast, I sent them off to play with their toys.

I wandered back into Ryder and I’s room.

I started shaking him. “Wake up, babe.”

He was as still as the dead.

I lowered my face to his and pecked his lips and pulled away.

Ryder’s hand shot out and pulled me back for a real kiss.

“How long have you been up?” I asked him successfully pulling away this time.

“Since the kids came in.”

Ryder has changed a lot since he was twenty one. We celebrated his thirty-third birthday last month. He’s definitely a family man. He still misses Melissa, but he accepts that she’s no longer alive and has moved on. He is also a lot more confident around me. He’s confident in our relationship and likes getting on my nerves. It’s nice because he acts like himself around me, but he is no Logan. Ryder was chosen for me by the Moon Goddess, but Logan was chosen for me by me.

I’ve changed a lot also. I haven’t killed anyone since we got to Dawson Creek. I’ve let the grudges of my past go and I’ve haven’t be this calm since I was a kid. However, my wolf is restless. She thought that Ryder was enough for us, but she is finally realizing that I’ve been right all along. Ryder killed our true mate. The little pups running around should have been Logan’s.

“Well, you have to get up and get changed. The kids only turn five once, so they are not going to be late to their own party.” I patted his head and put a fake smile on my face. I seem to do that a lot these days.
