Steve's P.O.V
The car pulled up midway in a small part of my driveway, the driver unknown to my presence.

Suddenly, out stepped Y/N, their hair bouncing around as they walked up to me, gathering me into a tight hug before I pulled away, a smile curving upwards on my face.

"Where are we going again?"

Y/N smiled, motioning to the car that was clearly one of their parents' cars. "Somewhere fun."

My eyes went down to Y/N's hand, and I thought about intertwining ours together before slowly lifting their hand up.

I tipped my head to the side a bit, a loud humming noise escaping my lips as I pressed them gently against Y/N's hand.

"Wow, you're such a gentleman." Y/N giggled, letting their hand drop to rest back at their side.

A sudden "honk" sounded from the car, and I had the chance to glance over at it, noticing that someone else was seated in the passenger seat. I felt jealousy rise, but then soon came to realization that it was a girl, clearly Y/N's friend. Her hair was just under shoulder length, and it looked to me to be a creamy blonde, a little bow pulling a few strands of hair away from their places and stapling them to the side of her head.

She had a wide smile on her face as she broke out into laughter, honking the horn a few more times before strapping herself back in the seat. I heard the "click" of the buckle and slowly looked up at Y/N.

Their face was a bright red, clearly from embarrassment that creeped on to their neck.

"You can sit in the back. I had to bring Lauren with, or she'd get mad at me." Y/N's eyes were filled with so many apologies, but I nodded, understanding the whole situation.

We made it back to the car, Y/N dashing into the driver's seat, quickly turning on the car as I hopped in. Lauren slowly looked back at me, a smile carved onto her face, revealing small dimples to the side of each cheek.

Soon after we managed to get out of the driveway and onto the road, that's when Lauren started to question me. "When did you two first meet?" Her smile never left her face once, only if I answered with a light hum or an "I dunno".

"It's hard to explain." Y/N answered for me after realizing that I wasn't going to answer. A smile approached my face as I sat up a bit straighter, managing to see Y/N wink at me as I struggled to not slouch down into my previous position.

After a couple minutes, Lauren stopped with the questions, and was now singing along to every song that played on the radio.

Her locks of hair bounced around as she shouted the words to "It's Now or Never" by Elvis Presley. My eyes widened with shock as she managed to hit every note correctly, impressing both Y/N and I with her ability to shout a song so loud that you could go deaf.

Y/N finally had the courage to shut the radio off, chuckling as Lauren let out a loud "Hey!", gently smacking Y/N's arm before stopping, defeat in her eyes. Lauren didn't seem like the person to stay mad for long, and I was correct, because she soon started to sing "I'm A Honky Tonk Girl" by Loretta Lynn, and even without the song playing, she still knew every word, so she never exactly messed up nor embarrassed herself doing so.

Y/N had pulled into some sort of parking lot, a smile present on their face as we all dashed out of the car, trying to beat each other to the door. I clearly won, holding the door open for both Y/N and Lauren, earning 2 "Thank you"'s, and one hard glare from Lauren.

As we stepped inside the restaurant, Lauren took a quick look at the menu before rushing up to me, a smile beaming on her face. "What're you having?" I looked at her, meeting her eyes, noticing that they were a soft green with some brown specks near her pupil. Her smile stretched even wider as she whispered in my ear her meal number. "Don't forget that I don't want any tomatoes!" She quietly squealed into my ear, her hands squeezing my arm before she let go, skipping off to find us a booth.
