Like our break, the kiss didn't last as long as one would want. It was me that pulled away first, causing the almost electric shock to stop.
"I want you too," I whispered back.
"We should probably get to practice," he winked, "I wouldn't want you to be late."
Rolling my eyes, I stood up. Looking at him for a moment I spoke, "Let's go then, lame ass."
He laughed at my comment and got up as well. Together, we grabbed our shoes and left the dorm. In the hall, we strolled shoeless to the practice room.
"I'll race yah," BamBam smirked, the room was only four doors away at this point.
"I don't want to, let's go. You're wasting time that we don't have Bam," I grabbed his arm, pulling him along with me.
"You're such a brat," he huffed, dragging his feet.
"I think you mean pain in the ass," I chuckled as we reached the door.
As I reached my hand out to the door, Bam shoves his in front of me, taking the handle before I could.
"I win," he winked opening the door.
I rolled my eyes and entered the room, Jinwoo was in there watching his watch.
"Right on time," he smiled, "Barely."
"Barely being on time is better than being late," I pointed out to the adult.
"You have a point, but we do not have the time for points. Let's start with "What Do I Do?" and work our way up," he said. "Today, you are going to sing while you dance so you won't have to lip sync the whole showcase."
I nodded and walked to the middle of the wooden floor. BamBam slid down the mirror, taking a seat on the ground to watch me.
"Ready, and music on," Jinwoo said pressing play.
"I don't know the reason baby," I sang.
There was no dance prepared for this song, since it's a ballad. On each high note, I would push myself. Even though singing isn't exactly my strong suit, after these last few weeks I had improved greatly.
Once the song ended, I had a moment to take a breather and receive commentary from Jinwoo. He had the sheet music so he could reference it.
"That was great, just work on your power on certain notes. Too much can make you go sharp," he explained, pointing to certain parts of the song on the sheet music.
"Okay," I said to show that I understood.
"Perfect, on to the next song, Black," he said, causing BamBam to hop up and join me in the center.
"Don't screw up," he joked. I rolled my eyes, and muttered back, "as if."
The beat of our song "Black" came through the speaker, enchanting me. I was immersed in the song, the dance, and all parts that involved Double B. Like myself, he seemed to be in a phase as well.
Once it came to an end, I realized the amount of breath that I lacked. Jinwoo, who was watching from the corner of the room, clapped a slow almost proud clap.
"Very good," he smiled. "You two work well together."
As if on cue, the two of us shared a brief smile. One that showed our secret to each other, one that Jinwoo will never understand.
"Okay, time for your title song, Don't Make Me Cry," Jinwoo instructed.
Like clockwork, BamBam walked away and the music began playing. My body swayed to the beat as I exhibited dance moves. My voice remained stable and my moves were sharp. This song, along with Black, made me feel confident in myself.
