"Harry, wake up son! You don't want to be late for your big audition!" I awoke as I heard my mother calling for me from down the stairs.
I groggily open my eyes and sit up in my bed.
As I look around at the room and all of it's surroundings, it hits me.

I'm in Holmes Chapel, in my old bedroom.
"What...?" I say aloud to myself. That's when I take note of my voice. It's much younger sounding and definitely less deep.

I have no idea what is going on and before I have time to figure it out, my mum is knocking at my door. "I surely hope you're in there getting ready." She says from the other side.

I walk to my closet and grab a white shirt, a cardigan, and a scarf. As I'm getting dressed, I notice that I don't have any tattoos and my hair still has it's youthful, springy curls.

"Weird."

When we arrive at Manchester Central, I realize what it is I'm about to do as I see a sign that reads 'X Factor Auditions Today!'
I swallow the lump in my throat and get in line.
I look around and see massive amounts of people all waiting to audition. I take note of the cameras and crew, as well.

After I've gotten a number, I walk back to where my family is waiting and try to process all of this.
I can remember it clearly. I was just with Selena and I had just asked her to be my girlfriend, I was remaking memories with her. Oh, I remember all of that as if it were a photograph in my mind.

What I couldn't figure out is what I was doing here...

Before I know it, a camera man has walked up to me.
"Mind if we interview you?" He asks.
I oblige and he starts telling me to introduce myself.

"I'm Harry Styles, I'm sixteen and I'm from Holmes Chapel, in Cheshire." I adjust my chair and he asks me how it is living there.
"It's quite boring, nothing much happens there. It's quite.. Picturesque." I say with a sheepish smile.
"I'm in a band with my friends at school called White Eskimo, I'm the lead singer." I also explain to him that we were in a Battle Of The Bands competition at school and ended up winning.
I watch my mum's face light up when I tell the interviewer that my mother is the only person who ever compliments my voice.
"I'm his biggest fan, ya know?" She proudly says.

When we're eventually inside, it's my turn to audition. I couldn't deny that I was a nervous wreck. Not only have I never performed for this many people but I was still trying to process why I woke up this morning as my teenaged self.

I walk out on stage and am welcomed by applause from the audience. I feel intimated when I see Nicole, Simon, and Louis sitting before me.
I introduce myself and explain my job and what I'm majoring in college.

"Alright and what are you going to be singing for us?" Simon finally asks me

"Alright and what are you going to be singing for us?" Simon finally asks me.
I'm quick on my feet as I choose one of my favorite songs.
"I'll do Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder."

The crowd claps as I start to sing. (See video for this part)
When I'm done singing, I await patiently for the judges criticism. I'm pleasantly surprised when I receive mostly positive feedback.

"I think with a bit of vocal training, you could be very good

"I think with a bit of vocal training, you could be very good." Simon tells me.
"For sixteen years old, you have a beautiful voice." Nicole praises me and I blush and smile.

The judges take a vote and I'm granted with two yeses from Simon and Nicole.
"You're through to the next round!" Simon announces and I get the biggest grin on my face.

"Thank you, thank you!" I say to the judges and the audience as I walk off stage to my waiting family

Later that night, my mum and Gemma were in the kitchen preparing dinner.
I was upstairs in my room, Fleetwood Mac playing softly over the speakers and I was laying back on my bed, singing along quaintly.

Several thoughts are flowing through my mind.
What happened to the last seven years? I'm trying to remember but no memories are coming to me.
No matter how hard I try, no explanation was coming to me. Not one that made sense, anyway.

*knock knock*
My sister Gemma peeks her head through the door.
"Hey big singing man, dinner is ready."
Before she walks off, I stop her.
"Hey Gem, can we talk for a bit? I just need to get some things off my chest."

She nods her head and walks across to my desk and plops down in the spinning chair. "So, what's going on bro?" She sighs.

I explain everything to my sister without skipping a detail. I tell her about One Direction, concerts, award shows, the fans, and I tell her about Selena and our family.

By the time I'm finished speaking, she has a very confused look on her face.
"Riiiight, well little brother you've always had a big imagination."

"It's not my imagination, Gemma. It really did happen." I say defensively. She scoffs and leaves my room.
Now that I'm thinking back, it does all seem a bit farfetched.
James Corden wasn't some genie who sent me back in time. I wasn't married to Selena Gomez, I didn't have a daughter.

It was all just some crazy, overly tired, sleep induced dream.

The End. ~

Hey everyone! So I know this ending was rushed, sloppy and made absolutely no sense.
My apologies.
I had originally intended on this being a longer book with a different ending but I kind of lost my way with it and for that, I'm sorry.

However, I'm currently trying to improve my writing style. I'm currently working on a new book called 1975, if ya wanna check it out.
