"What do you mean you don't talk? Did you get your tongue cut out or something?" Liam's very drunk girlfriend, Meg, inquired. She was smushing her hands all over my face but it was rather amusing.
"Meg! Sorry Daisy, she gets a bit weird and rude when she's drunk. I'm gonna go take her outside for a bit of air for a while." Liam apologized, dragging Meg away from me and out toward the backyard.
I was leaning against the kitchen counter sipping some water while a tipsy Kyle stood beside me, chatting to some of his friends. Honestly, I was not having the best time at the party. Being surrounded by intoxicated people I barely knew wasn't the best experience. People had tried to talk to me but the conversation never really led anywhere for obvious reasons.
I was on my phone trying to beat 2048 I was interrupted by non other than the host himself.
"Well you sure are having an absolute blast." Ronan said sarcastically, taking my phone away. "Take this instead." He pushed a beer can into the space my phone was previously occupying.
I had about zero intentions of drinking. Bad things happen when I get drunk. It is not pretty.
I put the can down on the counter and tried to take my phone back out of Ronan's back pocket. Before I could get it, Ronan grabbed my hand and stopped me.
"I know you can't take your hands off of me but show a little restraint there Dais. Don't want your buddy over there getting the wrong idea." He laughed and nodded his head toward Kyle who had somehow moved from right beside me to across the living room.
Ronan wandered around the kitchen a bit, restocking the fridge with drinks and setting more out on the counter, doing hosty things. I just leaned back against the counter people watching whilst bouncing my head to the music.
Soon enough my people watching was also interrupted by a yank on my arm.
"I need to do a round and make sure everything's alright and I don't like the idea of you standing there alone in your short skirt so c'mon. " Ronan tugged, trying to drag me with him out of the kitchen and toward the backyard. I stopped however, not allowing him to bring me until he had given me back my phone.
"Alright. just do this with me and I'll give you your phone. I just cant have someone looking bored and alone at my party. "
We made away around the house and yards checking up on things. A couple times Ronan stopped to say hello to a couple of his friends and try to pry off the drunk girls that flocked to him.
I had imagined that he would just be drunk and hooking up with girls all night, being his usually annoying and arrogant self but I was wrong. Tonight he was being really responsible and nice and it was weird.
Eventually after we covered the basement and ground floors, we ventured up the stairs.
"I swear there better not be people hooking up in the rooms or I'm gonna kill somebody." Ronan shook his head in disgust. "I cannot have people fucking in my 6 year old brothers bedroom. its just wrong. "
He checked the bedrooms which, much to his relief, were empty... Until he decided to pull me into one. Naturally I screamed, as any girl would do when suddenly pulled into a dark room.
Ronan flicked on the light switch to illuminate his room.
"Well at least I'm making one girl scream tonight." He smirked, openning the door to his balcony and proceeding to plop onto his bed.
"Can I have my phone back now?" I asked walking closer to the bed.
"Seven. I'm getting closer." Ronan sat up, took the phone out of his pocket, and tossed it to me. "You can sit on the bed you know. I swear the sheets are clean and I have nothing but pure intentions."
