Once there lived a wealthy king who was not happy with his fortune. One day, the king saw one of his servants singing happily while working. He was confused by the fact that the servant was so happy even though he was poor. "Why are you so happy?" asked the amused king. "Your Majesty, I'm just a servant. My family and I are happy with whatever we have. I don't have any reason to be unhappy." replied the servant. His rely confused the king even more. He discussed the matter with his most trusted advisor. "Your Majesty. looks like your servant has not yet joined The 99s Club...""The 99s Club? What is that?""Haven't you heard of it, Your Majesty? I thought even you were a part of it? Let me explain it to you. Just fill a bag with 99 coins and place it at the servant's doorstep. You'll understand everything." The next day, the king did as told. When the servant opened his door and looked into the bag, he shed tears of joy. With uncontrollable excitement, he started counting the coins. Even after several times of counting, he was still not that the bag had only 99 coins. He searched everywhere for that one 100th coin, but could never find it. From that day onwards, He was always grumpy and sad. The king was truly surprised to find this sudden change of behaviour. When he asked the advisor, he replied, "There's not much change, Your Majesty. It's just that he has now officially become a part of The 99s Club. This club is for all those people who have enough to be happy, but are never content because they're always striving for that extra one. 'Let me get that one final thing and then I'll be happy for life.' is what they think. But they are never really happy."
The art of happiness is to be happy with what you have. Contentment is the greatest form of wealth.
