Simon closed the door behind him and made his way further into my room. I walked backwards and sat down in my gaming chair. Simon kept coming forward and eventually sat down on the edge of the bed. He gave me another intense look before looking down in his lap, his fingers twitching slightly where they lay in his lap.
"Are you okay Simon?" I asked, he usually only had his finger twitch when he was nervous because of something.
"Are you?" He fired back instantly and I immediately nodded, an instinct to protect myself I've had for so long that it's an automatic response.
"I'm not sure I believe you" He spoke softly, a short while after my own response.
I'm sorry it's been so long, I have a persisting cold, a bit of homework and had a couple of docs. appointments since I last updated, I'm gonna try to make sure there's a couple updates a week, but I'm not sure I can promise that right now.
