When they arrived at the hotel, Phil didn't get out of the car straight away, he took a long deep breath and turned his head at Dan.
Blue, deep blue, reminded him of a lake, dangerous, not knowing what was in there.
He was looking at him thoughtfully and even though the stare was way too long to be socially acceptable, he didn't want to be the one breaking it.
-Secrets.
He frowned. -What?
-For now, you don't have to pay me with your body -Phil said, and Dan smiled, those were good news- You'll have to tell me a secret.
Dan frowned and looked at Phil in a confused way.
-Why would you want to know any secrets of mine?
-Because, like I said, you won't have to pay me with your body but you will have to at some point. And I am also curious about your life.
Dan just looks away and looks to the ceiling of the car exhausted, he obviously didn't know him, if he thought that he was a bit interesting.
-I don't know what secrets I can tell you. I don't have that many.
-Will I ask you questions and will you answer to them honestly?
-Okay
-Tell me, what was going on in your mind when you decided to get away?
Dan felt dizzy just remembering that day and what had happened.
-My dad just kind of punched me and called me things I don't want to remember.
-We'll, that was an interesting chat, wasn't it?
And with that he went outside of the dark and into the motel, leaving Dan with a confused face and a bit of sadness all over his body.
