It's somewhere around midnight. I leap from roof to roof, my feet not making any noise. By going from roof to roof, I'm pretty much taking the shorter route to the school since I don't have to walk. Relief!

Soon, the school is seen. I don't hesitate to enter through the roof. Hey, what can I say? Sneaking is my middle name!

Okay, I don't have a middle name...

First, I go to the front office and take any and all of the files concerning Kasai. I shape a box in mid air out of my ooze and set the papers alight in there. At least the flames will be contained. I then go to the camera monitors and use a little black magic to change up the images and erase Kasai from there.

From now on, I am not Kasai.

Once that's done, I snap my fingers to turn off all the cameras while I work in the halls and rooms. I go to the classrooms and burn anything that has to do with Kasai. I set those into cubes much like the one in the office. I take them down when there's only ashes.

It's three in the fucking morning when I'm done burning shit, and there's still the issue about everyone's memories! Even though the files will be burned, humans will still know and remember Kasai. Honestly, this whole mission is fucking demanding!

Luckily, I know a way to erase their memories all at once.

A simple task.

I set a spell around the entire school so that I don't miss a spot. When that's done, I chant in my language to activate the black magic, raising my hands up to keep the magic strong.

Finally done.

Five in the morning. I'm dead tired. There's only so much I can do before I burn out all of my energy. I could honestly sleep for an entire day.

I hope I don't, though. That would mean a whole day of terrifying images and haunting scenes. I'll probably have to sleep, though. The trance doesn't recover energy; it only relieves stress and offers some refreshment. Not enough for a full day without sleep.

I go back to the house and find Kuro asleep on the corner of the pillow. I sigh deeply and plop onto the bed. I close my eyes and go to sleep

~.~.~

The room has a complete darkness to it. Kind of like...

I bolt upright, looking around the room.

No, I'm not in the Prison. I sigh in relief. I flop back down, and I notice that Kuro isn't there. He probably went out to hunt. I wonder if he's got enough to eat. Well, he can fly far distances in a short amount of time. I'm certain he'll be fine.

The door opens, and Mizuki pops in. "Black Mist, come on. Let's go."

"Nah," I mutter, still recovering from the nightmare. "I'll skip..."

She sighs and closes the door. I guess she knows not to mess when me when I'm upset.

Good.

She should.

I sit up and stretch. I look over to the window silently. The sun's barely rising, and it momentarily blinds me. When my eyes adjust, I look at the sun.

Directly.

What can I say? My optic nerve is less sensitive than a human's. Then again, it can be a real pain in the ass sometimes because it's sometimes sensitive. Besides, because of my enhanced sight, I can see the solar activity. It's very entertaining.

I get up from the bed. I sit in the chair that I've placed in front of the window and rest my arms on the windowsill. I watch the human activity below me.
