I Love You, Don't Forget That

June 18th; One Confusing Night

As I get ready for this dinner, I decided I wanted to wear a classy light blue summer dress with white daisies on the bottom lace and it went down a few inches passed my knees. I turned on my straightener for my hair and while it heats up, I began to do my makeup. A light shade of blue eyeshadow with a little bit of a brown mix made it look beautiful. Good thing I packed up my white lace sandals to make it perfect.

By the time I put the sandals on, the straightener was ready. As I slowly work on my hair, my phone went off.

Ring ring

I just ignored the fact of my phone ringing and focused on getting ready for this date.

My hair was straightened and looked great, but I decided to make it better. I plugged my curler in and I put my hair up in a tight pony tail.

Ring ring

I walk over and I grab my phone to answer.

"Lena Janes."

"Lena, it's Seto Kaiba."

"Why, hello sir."

"Since it's going to be 7pm in just a few minutes, I wanted to have you know that I have left my home. I will be at the hotel in 10 minutes sharp. Be ready."

"You don't have anything to worry about, Seto. I'll be ready for you, I'll be outside when I'm finished getting ready."

"Alright, Lena."

I hung up and went back to doing my hair.

Seto Kaiba's POV

After Lena hung up the phone, I had my limo driver go a little faster towards her hotel.

"Go faster." As he went faster, my phone went off showing a text message.

Lena Janes:
Oh, Seto Kaiba. I'm all ready to go. I'm standing by the main gate. I'll see you soon!

It's only been 5 minutes since the phone call ended and she's already good to go. Talk about being on time.

A couple moments pass and I see Lena Janes standing by the main doors of the hotel she was staying in. She looked amazing. That blue dress looked great on her, and those shoes match it perfectly. Her hair is beautiful aswell, seems like she straightened her hair and pulled it back, then curled it, and lastly had bobby pins to make it be one curly bun. She was simply amazing.

I began to blush as she began to walk towards my limo, so I got out.

Lena Janes' POV

I felt adorable, and very excited for this dinner date. As I walk down to the limo, Seto Kaiba walked out and closed his door. He walked to the other side and opened the door for me.

"What a gentleman, like earlier today." I smiled at him.

"Embrace it. This doesn't happen too often." I sat down and got my seat belt on.

Then, Seto comes inside and sits right by you.

"So, Miss Lena Janes. You look quite stunning tonight." The limo driver complimented.

"Why, thank you. This dress is a personal favorite." I smiled and blushes slightly, but I felt Seto's eyes all over me. I kept to myself until my phone began ringing.

Ring ring

I answered.

"Lena Janes"

"Lena, darling. It's your father."

"Oh, hi Dad. Ho was your day?"

"You know, busy and crazy. Are you currently busy yourself?"

"Well, sort of. Seto Kaiba is treating me to dinner tonight and we're in our way to the destination. How come?"

"Just checking up on you is all. How's your trip?"

"Going smoothly honestly, except for what happened earlier today in his office." Meaning my mother calling.

"What happened?"

"It's nothing to be concerned about, I handled it."

"Alright honey, well be careful and have fun tonight."

"It's will Dad, love you."

"I love you too."

I hung up the phone and we pulled up into the driveway.

"Lena." I looked over at Seto.

"Yes?" He looked down at me with a soft smile. I smiled back and all of a sudden, I get a small case of butterflies.

When the limo was in park, Seto comes around and opens the door for me to get out. While we walked in, Seto places his hand in mine. I began to blush slightly, and I looked up at him. Seto Kaiba was blushing.

"Welcome!!" Our host says with a smile. "How many in your party tonight?"

"Just 2, please." Seto says, tightening his grip on my small hand. Our host nods and gives us 2 menus.

"Follow me." As we followed him to our table, a lot of people were staring at us. It was surely not comfortable.

We finally got our table and we sat down across from each other. The restaurant was beautiful, with a really handsome date.

Seto takes my hands.

"What's wrong, Lena?" I just sighed.

"Just a lot right now." I put on a fake smile and our waiter came by.

"My name is Amilio and I'll be your server this evening." He passed out our silverware. "May I start you off with some drinks?"

"I'll just take a glass of cherry lemonade with light ice please." I told him with a fake smile. He nods and turns to Seto.

"I'll just take an iced tea." Amilio nods and walks away. "Lena, you can tell me what's bothering you." I stayed silent. "Lena?"

"Why were you so concerned earlier today when you walked me to my vehicle?" Seto swallowed.

"Because I knew who you were on the phone with. You see, I personally know Amanda Parks-Janes; your mother." My heart skipped a few beats and my face got so red. I stayed quiet until Amilio came with our beverages.

"Here you guys are!" He sets them down on the table and pulls out his pen and notepad. "What sounds good tonight?"

"I'll have the grilled chicken Caesar salad with Caesar vingerette dressing, the smaller salad please."

"Sure thing, how about you sir?" Seto looks at him and says,

"I'll take your sirloin dinner with mashed potatoes with no gravy and grilled onions on the side."

"Alright, thank you." He walks off and I just glared at Seto.

"How in the Hell do you know her?"

"She used to work for my step-father; Gozaburo Kaiba when he adopted my brother and myself. I met her, then she moved away a year after I became the owner of Kaiba Corperation." I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "You see, she was married to your father Lena. She moved here and stayed for a year and 6 months from what I was told for a business trip, but never addressed it to you, nor Richard. That's when she abandoned you." I just shook my head.

"So, you know quite a lot about me?" He smirked.

"Lena Marie Janes, I know everything."
