Lightning managed to leap out of the rabbit just as Thunder killed it.
"Whew, that was close!" Lightning gasped, then glared at her brother.
Thunder, oblivious to his sister's spirit, picked up the rabbit and headed off into the woods.
"Why, Moon-Wolf? Why Sun-Wolf?" Lightning suddenly howled. "I want-I NEED another chance! Please!"
Lightning felt like something sharp jabbed into her chest and through her body. She whined in pain and felt like she was shrinking. Her eyes closed and when they opened again they saw. Nothing but darkness.
Then more pain.
