I sat on the couch, head in my hands, as I silently cried. Tears slipped through my hands, and fell to the floor.

I sniffled a bit, and that's when Drew came in. I heard his steps become quicker, until he was right beside me.

He wrapped his arms around me. He kissed along my neck, and nuzzled in to move my head out of my hands.

"What's got you so sad?" He asked, peppering kisses on my cheek.

A few more tears fell down my face, only for Drew to wipe them away.

"C'mon. Don't cry beautiful. No one wants to see you sad" He kissed me.

My tears came to an end, but Drew still held me in his arms.

"Wanna tell me what got you so sad?" He asked.

I nodded.

"I can't find Thumper" I sniffled.

Thumper was our dog. I had been looking for him all day. I looked all around our neighborhood and surrounding ones, and I called all the local shelters.

"For now, I want you to relax. Just go to our room, and lay down, and I'll be there in a moment" He smiled, kissing my forehead "I'll look for Thumper tomorrow"

"Promise?" I asked.

"I promise" He replied.

We latched pinkies.

"Can't break a pinky promise" I laughed.
