I gave him a brief smile. A code we only knew before he left. Leaving I and Miko alone.

Yes I left him. Exactly 4 years & 6 months ago.
Plastering a smile on my face. I faced him. I was about to start the conversation when I recognized him staring at me. Since when?
"You're good at that." He started. Lips pressed on a hard line.

The eyes that lit up whenever I saw a glimpse of me in them. The eyes full of happiness... love, hope. And just the same, those eyes dulled as it reached me... cannot be deciphered and were never the same when I left.
"What?" I asked. A small smile on my face. A little celebratory smile that he started a conversation first. I still have a chance... I will make amends and bring him back. Us.
"Making people believe that they are actually important to you than they actually are." He stated without pause. I started to crumble again.
Memories came crashing through me making me cringe. Every laugh, smile, conversation and every memory with him, in him, was now inexistent.
He's right.
I left him. We continued our own lives. Him going his own way and now I am just another bump in the road.
That left me speechless. Silently praying to God that Andrew would end that damn orchestrated phone call now.
I need to draw another plan... To bring my Miko back. Us.
