The Begining

After the voice stopped talking me and the other enlistment were ushered away. Unlike the others who received good jobs we would not be able to say goodbye to our families. The next time we would see them if we survived will be at our five year leave. Or in the case of the Sirens until a member of my team got hurt. The other guy who was Billy Bob's older brother named Joe seemed scared out of his pants. I had only spoken to Joe a couple of times before. Unlike his brother he was a really nice guy, a coward but super sweet.

"I can't believe this I'm going to die, I AM GOING TO DIE!" He yelled. I grabbed his ear and yanked on it hard.

"Pull yourself together! If you say your going to die then you will, idiot," I said with no sympathy to him. I let go of his ear and followed the soldier who looked slightly scared. I mean Joe wasn't a small guy by any means. He was five foot eleven with dark brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Ow that hurt," Joe whimpered. I rolled my eyes.

"Well then you shouldn't be such a big baby," I groaned.

TIME SKIP TO THE DOCKS.

I stared up at the ship in awe. I had never seen a real boat before and this one was huge! It looked like any other naval ship except my future team was on it. Joining the Siren's was a huge honor in itself but this ship just seemed to big to do much. It was dock in the Grand Canyon Port. During the great war  Most of Arizona and Mexico became submerged due to the amount of bombs that were dropped on the area. The sirens fought the monsters of the sea. Leviathans. During the great war the Enemy made monsters to gain an upper hand in the war. In the sea they made Leviathans, in the air they made Chimeras, and among the earth they created the Lions which had impervious skin. As I boarded the ship I started looking for the Sirens. The ones that are being sent off now will be on the ship somewhere. As I stumbled around looking a sailor approached me. The propose of the Naval ships is to provide backup and support to the Sirens. They basically went around looking for any Sirens that were in trouble or in need of help.

"Are you looking for the Sirens?" The sailor asked.

"Yeah do you know were they are?" I replied. He nodded.

"Their that way," He said pointing to the right.

"Thanks," I called over my shoulder as I went the direction he had pointed out.

Line Break

I could hear voices as I got closer to the Sirens meeting place.

"Only two recruits this year,"

"Very odd this has to be the smallest year yet,"

"What if they don't make it? Then what happens?"

"Everyone clam down just because we had a small pick this year doesn't mean there won't be more later," This voice rose above the others in a commanding tone. Mustering up my courage I entered to room. It was large with plenty of couches around the room. There were long oak tables pressed up against one of the walls. The tables were covered in all assortments of seafood. The second I entered the room all talking stopped as they turned to stare at me.

"Um hi," I said dumbly while lifting one of my hands in greeting.

"Well speak of the devil here's one of the new recruits now!" The same voice from earlier said. I looked in his general direction and saw a tall man with beach tan skin and windswept blond hair. He had sea green eyes and a easy going smile.

"My name is Micheal, and you are?" He asked.

"Accalia," I said with no confidence in my voice what so ever. I glanced around the room. It was full of Sirens. They had scars of war decorating their bodies some were even missing limbs while others had cybernetic replacements. Micheal himself had a scar going from beneth his right jaw all the way to the bridge of his nose. He began walking over to me.

"So Marie are you ready to fight Leviathans?" He asked with a sadistic grin.

"Oh I'm ready to die any day at any time bitch," I smirked. He leaned in so close I could smell the tuna on his breath.

"Then lets get started." He turned around and walked across the room making it clear I should follow.
