The vehicle kept going, actually.

You laid motionless in the middle of the road.

Jeremy was shaking, internally panicking.

Michael had a hand over his mouth, in complete shock.

"(Y/n)!" He cried out, quickly running to your aid.

You were unconscious at the time.

"Oh my god." He trembled at the sight of you as he neared your location.

Scrapes and tears dotted pretty much everywhere; your clothes were partly torn, too.

Michael kneeled beside you, beginning to cry.

"Jeremy, call the police!" Michael looked back to Jeremy, but...

He was nowhere to be seen.

He quickly looked back to you. The tears washed off the concealer on his cheeks.

He stood back up, and swiftly took you into his arms.

He carried you off the road and into his apartment, and then scurried off to find his phone.

"9-1-1, what's your emergency?" The operator sang sweetly.

"My friend just got hit by a car!" He frantically rambled.

"Alright. Where are they at?" Typing could be heard on the other line.

"S-She's inside my apartment with me... I took her away from the road." He breathed, looking back to you.

"What is her name?"
"Uhhh, (Y/n)... I don't know her last name."
"Can you give me your location?"

Michael quickly gives the apartment number and complex name.

(I'm too lazy to think of anything ahahaaa...)

"An ambulance is on the way. Is the driver present?"
"N-No... They kept going."

Michael mindlessly grabbed your scratched hand and squeezed it.

"How old is (Y/n)?"
"I don't know..? Maybe around my age... I think we're in the same grade."

Michael was oblivious to the fact that the operator was asking this in an attempt to calm him.

"How long have you two known each other?"
"...A day."
"Really?"
"Y-Yeah."
"The ambulance is almost there. Do you want to stay on the phone?"
"No... I-It's okay."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Alright. Goodbye."
"Bye..."

The three beeps indicating the call had ended rang through Michael's ears.

He set the phone down, and let go of your hand quickly.

You were an unconscious mess.

Then, red and blue lights peered through the curtains. The noise was horrible; one of the most annoying sounds Michael had ever heard.

Michael opened the door, and they took you without hesitation.

He watched with guilt as you were loaded onto the vehicle.

Michael walked up to them.

"Can I come..?" He asked quietly.

"Are you a family member?"

Michael thought for a moment.

"...I'm her boyfriend."

The medical staff member thought for a second, then gestured for Michael to hop in.

Which, he gladly did.

And the vehicle rode away.

Your sleepy aunt stepped out of her apartment, confused with all the commotion.

But you and Michael were already gone; there was nothing to see.

She shrugged, and went back into her apartment.
