Chapter 6

Mimi struggled to escape their locked bedroom that Philip had locked her in. Mimi felt helpless as she began feeling labor pains.

"Philip, help me! I think I'm going into labor!" Mimi called out to Philip, who was outside their door.

"I'm not falling for your games, Mimi!" Philip told her.

"I'm not lying!"

"You're playing the labor card so I'll feel sorry for you and let you out!"

Mimi's cries didn't phase Philip as he let her suffer locked in their bedroom. By the time Philip did unlock their bedroom door, Mimi was unconscious lying on the floor.

Philip called Salem U to tell them he was bringing Mimi in after she fell unconscious on the floor.

As Philip was bringing Mimi into the hospital, Shawn happened to be at the nurses' station and cut Philip off as Daniel took an unconscious Mimi from Philip and rushed her to the ER to examine her.

"What did you do to her, Philip?! Shawn said angrily.

"Nothing?" Philip defended himself. "I found her unconscious on our bedroom floor."

Shawn, despite being weak from his fall down the stairs, took a swing at Philip, just as Belle happened on the scene.

"What's going on?!" Belle said, trying to break up the fight.

"Philip hurt Mimi and she and the baby are here in the hospital." Shawn explained to Belle.

"I'm sure there's a logical reason why Philip brought Mimi in?"

"Yeah. As I told you, I found Mimi lying on the floor and immediately brought her in."

"You liar!" Shawn yelled as he tried to take another swing at Philip, but was stopped by Maxine, who was about to tell them that Mimi was in labor and was about to have the baby.

Several minutes later, Shawn, Belle and Philip waited for word on Mimi and the baby, when Daniel finally came out of the ER.

"How is Mimi and the baby?" Shawn asked him.

"Mimi gave birth to triplets--2 girls and a boy." Daniel told them. "The babies are in NICU and Mimi is unconscious in her hospital room."
