Y/N's POV
"Ill see you soon" Jack whispers into the crook of your neck. "If you classify 12 months as soon, then ill see you soon too" you slightly laugh through tears. "Jack" you start to say as you pull back from your everlasting hug. "I can't do this. I can't leave the guys, my friends, family and you, Jack, i can't leave you". Tears now rushing down your face. "Y/N! now you have to listen to me" Jack firmly says gripping either side of your shoulders. "The guys, your friends, all your family and me. We'll all be here waiting for you when you get home. We aren't going anywhere. Look at what you're doing. You're travelling the entire world, seeing new places, experiencing different cultures, meeting new people and doing something you've always wanted to do. So please Y/N hop on that plane and make the best memories of your life." Jack says as a crew member from your flight announces that its the last boarding call for your flight. "Call me when your flight lands" Jack says as you place your backpack on your shoulder ready to board your plane. "So this is goodbye?" you ask wiping a single tear that had escaped your eyes. "For now Y/N, but not forever" Jack says giving you a tight hug. You both pull apart as you give Jack's some lips one last kiss. The flight attendant scans your tickets before you make your way down the tunnel to your plane. You turn around one last time as the flight attendant starts closing the doors to the tunnel. 'I love you' you mouth to Jack as the doors finally become closed. You turn around immediately not looking back and head onto your plane.
JACK's POV
The doors slowly close as tears threaten to escape my eyes. I hold it in. For my sake. For Y/N's sake. Just before the doors shut Y/N mouths 'i love you' then she's gone. The doors are shut. I can't process it. She said i love you first. I can't say it back. I run for the doors, trying to open them but they're locked shut. "Excuse me, the boarding time is shut. You will have to reschedule another flight now sir" the flight attendant says kindly to me. I fall to my knees wanting so badly to have her in my arms again. To have the chance to say 'i love you'. I sit on the navy blue stained airport carpet for another 40 minutes processes how hard this next year is going to be. But i will have to be strong. For myself. For Y/N.
1 YEAR LATER
JACK's POV
As i see Y/N i remember what its like to lay eyes on the most beautiful human on this planet. We connect lines of sight and she drops everything she's holding and makes a run for it. For me. I'm running but it feels like I'm treading water. We are in close distance before she jumps straight into my arms. With Y/N in my arms i hold her tight. Not wanting to let go. Never wanting to let go. We finally pull away from each other with Y/N's feet back on the ground. She try's to speak but i stop her by planting my lips on hers. As i pull away all i say is 'i love you too'.
Y/N's POV
'i love you too' were the words i was longing for from the only person i needed it from. Jack.
