Its been five years since Dan and I parted ways. I was now studying law at Kenyatta University. I guess after all those years I finally moved on with my life leaving the past behind. I understand my friend Sheba managed to get a place at The Nairobi Technical institution where she was fulfilling her dream of becoming an accountant. A few of my friends whom I knew were now fulfilling their dreams in various institutions and that made me glad for our work hard sure bared fruits. Their is no sweeter fruit than the fruit of success.
I wonder where my friend Alidert and Fred went to. I hope they are still together, they really loved each other and I just pray theirs is eternal cause i no longer believe in true love.

Just as I was walking on my way from campus I heard a familiar voice calling  on me, at fast I ignored it and just kept walking but now with long strides. Again I heard the same voice but now louder " Marya!"
Its not like I had any other choice than to turn back and see who was calling me.
Oh my God! It was Nancy my classmate back in high school. "Hey! Nancy what the hell are you doing here?" I was just so surprised I never thought I could meet with my classmates its been long we even lost contact.
"Ooh Marya don't you know we are humans and not hills? Hahaha!" She gave me that cocky smile and I just shrugged my shoulder and giggled.
"I get it girl so what were you doing here?" I really wanted to know.
"Am a student here I stay in Kahawa."
"Wow that's nice it means will be seeing each other more often." We were now talking while heading towards the bus station.
"Yeah, and am just so happy at least I now have two of our highschool classmates contact. Help me with your number please."
" Who else do you have his/her contact?"
"Sheba the fat girl in our class do you remember her?"
"Definitely help me with hers please."
We exchanged numbers and then parted ways. Nancy head to Kahawa estate while I headed to KM.(Kenyatta Market)

This place was no different from the slams when it rained. I was so tired and couldn't imagine myself struggling in the mad going to buy  supper with all that darkness since their was no electricity. That was the problem with KM apart from water shortage people were experiencing frequent blackouts. I had some eggs and bread in the house I was just going to make a sandwich.
Before going to bed I decided to call Sheba fast.

Marya- hello Sheba I don't know if you can remember this voice...

Sheba- hello d.a whom am I speaking to please?

Marya- its Marya its been 5 years and am not sure if you rem..

Sheba- ooh! Marya how can I ever forget you? Have been trying to find you but no one seem to have yah number, how you doing baby.... Haha!
