Chapter Nine: Tiny People

It was weird for a bit everyone getting AIs and getting more training for those who had them. It was only Wash, South, Carolina, and me that didn't have one now.

Maine barley got his after Carolina said 'no he needs it more than me'. Ever since than poor Maine keeps getting more headaches. His AI is creepy too, he is small like the rest of them but on fire I guess. His name is Sigma....his voice is calm but after he talks, he has a deep echo, that repeats what he says.

Wyoming has an AI that reminds me of an robot. I laughed when I first saw him; all it did was look at Wyoming and leave. That AI is kind of...suspicious but who cares right? He is blue, kind of misty looking, and it's name is Gamma.

North has a cute little one though. Well so have I heard; Wash, South, and York have already met him. Wash describe him as a little boy that is shy and scared but cute. His name is Theta.

York has one that is very very smart he knows literally everything. He is green and has armour like us...well older amour. Delta is Wash's favourite, he talks to him all the time either asking questions or talking about York. It makes me laugh sometimes because York gets annoyed about it.

Texas has a scary one also hers on the other hand is just mad or angry. He is just black and has a deep voice he has the same armour as Delta. This one is named Omega.

I sat there looking down at my food thinking about all the AIs. I sat there thinking for a while until something hit me. What about Insurrection? Wouldn't CT know what we are doing?

"What do you think?" I looked up seeing Theta making fireworks.

"That awesome Theta!" North said pretty much talking in a 'baby tone'.

"Thanks I..I really worked hard on it." Theta said shuffling his little feet.

Everyone was eating together even Team Beta was here. I felt bad for them. Director said they can't have any yet because they aren't the best of the best. They are good as us though which to me doesn't make sense.

I let out a sigh and picked up my tray throwing it in the garbage. I heard York laughing hysterically, I turned to see what his problem was. Wash was just shrugging at York not caring what he was saying to him.

I smiled, I am just glad he his getting more comfortable to eating in front everyone. He has been taking his helmet off without a problem. Ever since we got into an argument about it he has been getting comfortable.

I turned to see North still talking to Theta and Vermont sitting across from him. Vermont doesn't talk much but I could tell that she loves watching North interact with Theta like he was his own child.

I walked out and headed towards the training room. I pressed the button down to the training room. "Aren't you going to join the rest of the Freelancers?" I jumped from the voice. Sigma.

"Nope." I said just making small talk. "Where's Maine?"

"He's being checked out." He responded.

"Shouldn't you be with him than." I asked trying not to look back at him.

"No they already asked me questions." After he spoke I could hear that deep voice repeating the last word that he said.

Shivers went down my back. "Oh cool." I said watching the number go down.

"So why aren't you joining the rest of the Freelancers and going to train? That's very unusual of you." Sigma said appearing in front of me.

I jumped a bit when he appeared in front of me. "Um because I don't feel like it really I mean I just want to train."
