My alarm blared from my bedside table, letting me know it was time to get ready for school. I groaned and turned it off, but soon after I was rubbing my eyes and clinging to my blanket. I didn't want to go, especially because I knew I had a world history test, which sucked because it was only the first semester and I was already failing the fucking class. I angrily kicked off my blanket and grabbed my phone to play music while I got ready. After I chose the music, I got up and put my phone on my vanity, then made my way to my closet. I grabbed my pastel pink crop top, denim overalls, and gray flannel. I put them on then looked in the mirror. "Fuck," I thought to myself, noticing my hair. It was huge. My dark brown curls made four inches taller and my part was nonexistent. I quickly found it and did my best to tame it. I sighed and realized that was the best I could do even if it still took over my forehead and ears. I cut it a few months ago and was pay the price for doing so. It was so awkward, but that doesn't matter. Grabbing my phone, I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. After doing so, I ran downstairs, fed my cat, then went to the bus stop. There I ran into a few of my neighbors. I hated that I never knew how to start conversations, and neither did they. So five out of seven days of the week, we all awkwardly stand around and wait for the bus. Soon it arrived and we all piled on, taking our usual seats.
