He Changed

I tried calling Embry but he hasn't been answering and I wonder why. He has also been missing school and I wonder if he has become of what Paul and Jared have become. I decided not to think of that just yet until, I know for sure. So, I decided to go to La Push by myself today but, dad thought it would be a good idea if I hanged out with Jacob and Bella for once.

At first, I thought no cause this is Jacob's time to try to get close to Bella and I don't want to be there to ruin it.

"I can't believe dad is doing this. Doesn't he realize that I'm trying to have a shot with her" Jacob said.

"Hey, I don't like his idea either but, Embry doesn't want to hang out with me today. Look, I'm willing to stay out of your way so, you can have your time with Bella" I said.

"Nah, it's Okay. At least it's only this one time. Their is a reason for why dad wanted you to come hang out with us today" Jacob said.

"Why is that?" I asked Jacob.

"Embry has changed... He's hanging out with Sam now" He said.

I was stunned for a minute and staring going down to my knees. Jacob wrapped his arms around me as I started to cry a little. "Hey, shh, shh. Its OK everything is going to be OK", he said.

"No, it won't Jake. I already lost Paul I can't lose Embry too" I said as I laid my face into his chest.

"Look at me" he said as he was wiping away my tears.

"Everything is going to be OK" he added before pulling me back to his chest.

As we were having a brother sister moment; we hear a knock at the door and knew that it was Bella. Jake went to open it and he and I went out to get in Bella's Truck. As we all got in, Bella started to drive off to where she can practice riding the motorcycle that Jacob has been fixing.

As she drives, she then starts questioning me "So, Gina. How have you been?" she asked.

"Fine I guess" I replied.

After answering that one question, Bella can't think of anything else to say. That's when Jacob started a new conversation with Bella.

"If I told you... I couldn't have fixed these bikes, what would you say?" Jacob questioned.

"Are you doubting your mad skills?" she questioned.

"No definitely not. I mean, they're  fine. It's just... May be if I was smarter would have dragged out to rebuild them" he said.

"If you told me... You couldn't fix these bikes. I would say that that's. Really too bad but, we would gonna find something else to do" she said.
With that being said Jake looks to me in the back and smiles, which makes me smile and we would want to giggle.

"Is that Sam Uley?" she said. And with that I look out at the cliff and in shock I see Embry along with Paul, Jared, and Sam.

"Yeah, him and his cult" Jake replied and I see them throw Jared off the cliff.

"Oh my God! Did you see that?" Bella said as she pulled over and ran out.

As both Bella and Jacob got out I stayed in not wanting to see what was going on.

"They're not really fighting, Bella. They're cliff diving. Scary as hell, but with a total rush" I hear Jake said from inside the truck.

"Rush?" she questioned.

"Most of us jump from lower down. They leave the showing off to Sam and his disciples" Jake said.

"Is some kind of beef with them or something?" Bella asked.

"No, They just think they run this place. Embry used to call them hall monitors on steroids. Now, look at him" Jake said.

Him mentioning Embry's name brings a little bit of tears to my eyes.

"That's Embry?" Bella asked. "Yeah" Jake replied.

"What happened to him?" she questioned.
"He missed some school and all of a sudden started following Sam around like a little puppy. Same thing happened with Gina's Boyfriend Paul and their friend Jared. Sam keeps giving me this look, like he's waiting for me or something. It's kinda starting to freak me out" Jake said.

"Well, you should just avoid him" Bella said. "I try" he says.

After that discussion, they get back in the truck and we drive off. As we drive off I look behind to see Sam being the last one to jump off the cliff. We arrive at our destination, we get out and Jake gets the bike out from the back.

I make a decision that I must tell Jake before he starts his instructions with Bella. "Jake, I'm gonna walk back and head to La Push" I said.

"Are you sure? I don't think that's a good idea" Jake said.

"Yeah I'm sure. Don't worry, I'll be Okay and if I see them. I'll go somewhere else or go hang out with Quil at least" I said.

"OKay fine. Just be careful" he said. "OK, give me a heads up on what happens here. Okay?" I said.

"Okay, I will. See you later" He said and waved. "Okay, see ya" I said and waved as I turn around and started walking.
