Me and Embry started hanging out again just us two and no Quil. Quil has been calling to hang out with Jacob because he has a little crush on Bella. But, he doesn't have a chance she is definitely out of his league.
Me and Embry have been spending a lot of time at the beach because it helps me get away from everything and I find the beach to be peaceful. Me and Embry sit on the cliff and look out at the waves but, we mostly sit on the shore and watch the waves come to us.
As I look at the waves I can tell that Embry tries to scoot closer to me. He then puts his arm around me; I look at him as he looks at me as we make eye contact. He leans in and tries to kiss me but, I turn away. I take his arm off from around my shoulder and just look back at the waves.
"I'm sorry Embry but, I just don't feel that way about you" I said.
"Hey, It's Okay... I understand. But, hey look at me. I know what he did to you was wrong but, Gina I would never to do that to you. And I would never hurt you ever. I'll always be there for you" he said.
I start to cry as he told me those things.
I look at him and wipe away my tears and then lay my head on his shoulder.
"Thanks Embry. Your good friend" I told him.
"Yeah no problem" he said as he wrapped his arm back around me.
The sun was beginning to set and we decided it was time to go home. When we got to my house before, I could walk in I turn around to give Embry a hug and kissed him on the cheek. A little thank you for him helping me along the way through my break up. I look at him for a second before entering my house and closing the door behind me.
I lean against the door and blush a little before looking out the window to see Embry walking off.
I lay on my bed and look at the ceiling and think about what Embry had said. I know now that Embry is a good friend and that he'll never abandon me. He'll be by my side forever and there's no way that he's going anywhere.
I start to drift away and fall asleep until, the next day comes.
