I was thinking about changing the cover of this book to the one in the pic above. Yay or nay??

Quinn's Mothers POV
A few hours before Quinn arrives

"Can you help me, honey?" I yell up to my daughter. "Sure mom! Coming down now!" My oldest daughter says as she runs down the stairs in her high heels and her black dress with a blue ribbon wrapped around her waist. "You look beautiful!" I gush and motion her over here. As soon as she steps in front of me I take a blonde hair and tuck it behind her ear. She smiles sadly up at me. "Mom, where's Quinn at?" She asks and I remember she went on some trip.
"Some trip..." I trail off. Remembering what I had done to her before she left. I frown and a pain sharpens in my chest. Guilt, maybe? "Can you help me fold the laundry?" I ask and she nods.

Ring!
Ring!

I hear the house phone ringing and pick it up from its holder. "Yes?" I answer and hear a mans voice through the phone.
"Ms. Salm?" I hear a voice echo.
"Yes? This is Selms residence." I says and make a curious face. Who is this?

"Well this is the doctor that took care of your daughter when she had that accident." He says and I remember what he was talking about. When she got hit by the car, right? I called to check up on her after she was released. I heard from a nurse it was just minor injuries. I couldn't come check up on her that day because of extra time at work. I felt bad about it too.

"Well, concerning your daughter's condition, I just wanted to ask how she is doing lately?" The man asked and now I'm even more confused.
"She's just fine. And what... Condition?"
He hesitates for a while.

"Ms. Salm, has your daughter not told you about her condition yet?" He says in a low tune.
"No? I called a nurse to ask about how she was after she was released and she said she was just fine."
He sighs and his voice booms through the phone.

"Miss, we found something... Interesting.. After her accident. And we believe.. That your daughter only has a few months now to live." My heart drops.

Why didn't she tell me?

I hear the door open as I'm in the kitchen and hang up the phone. I begin to cry, making it low so no one can hear me. About ten minutes later Quinn comes down to throw something away and I turn to her and whisper,
"I'm sorry." I say

Quinn's POV

After the long and fun day I had, I landed on my bed and texted Andy.

Me: Ready for tommorrow, Lover Boy?
He instantly replies.
Andy Is The Best: You know I am ;) what's next up on your list?

Me: Well.. My next one was to get rid of the snake- Veronica. But as you can see I already scared Parker off so, as you can see I don't have to get rid of her now :D so I already scratched that off the list. So, get your trunks! Me and you are going swimming tommorrow!

Him: Finally! Something that involves fun in the sun! Pick you up at 10 AM?

Me: Sure! Goodnight!

Him: Goodnight. And Quinn?

Me: Yes?

Him: I love you.

Me: Love you too.

I happily walk into the bathroom and for once in a few weeks, I take a long, relaxing bath.

I dress up in my white one peice swimming suit. On it has decorated splattered paint and says in bold letters, 'The sun is my best friend.' I slip on a white shirt and shorts. Also some flip slips I found in the back of my closet, thankfully they still fit me. I pull up my messy brown hair in a ponytail and for once in my life- I walk outside with no beanie on. Can you believe that?

"Looking good!" Andy says as he leans across the seat to open the door for me. I look him up and down slowly and flush at what I was just doing. Don't check him out, dummy!
"Yea. You too." I say and laugh as I buckle up and shut the door. He drives off as Bruno Mars, 24K plays on the radio.

"It's a beauty. Isn't it?" He says as we pull into the beach parking lot. I gaze at the sand and water.
"It is." I say as the sight takes me away.
"Should I be embarrassed admitting this is the first time I've ever been to the beach?" I say as we shut the truck doors. He dramatically gasps.

"Quinn! Do you even know what fun is anymore?!" He asks in a high-pitched voice. I sucker punch him in the arm and laugh.
"Oh come on, Squeaky." I say as I roll my eyes and we stroll onto the beach.
Oh yea, and here's a tip: never bring flip flops to the beach. I had to take them off just because of all of the sand weighing me down in them.

"Want to go build sandcastles or swim first?" Andy says and I gaze at him as he takes off his shirt. I gaze at his slightly tanned pack and stare at his beautiful face features. I lick my lips and turn my gaze quickly.
"Are you checking me out?! Pervert!" He says in an innocent voice and takes his arms and covers them over his chest. I shoot my head back in his direction and awkwardly laugh.
"No.." I say and answer his question from earlier.
"Swimming, of course." I take off my shirt and shorts real quick and throw them on the towel that we had spread on the sand. I run to the water and shout,
"WATER!!!" Andy laughs and comes running into the ocean too.

Me and Andy spent hours it seems like in the ocean. We splashed each other and just lied on our backs and looked up as the clouds strolled by. When we got out, we took our towels and dried off with them.

"Castle time!" Andy says and lies on the sand and starts piling up a bunch of sand. I stand there and get an idea. I begin looking for items I could use to decorate our catsle with. Shells, sticks- even trash and rocks. I come back and sit the items down. "Good find." He says, nodding his head up and down in a approving motion. We made the most awesome castle ever! It was pretty high and it had two flags on it. I smile at our work of art and Andy plasters a devilish smirk on his face.
"Now for the fun part." He says rubbing his hands together like some menacing villain. He walks up to it and kicks it. I laugh and join him, kicking, jumping on it. My foot slides underneath the sand and I feel a shark pain in my foot. I reflexively pull my foot away in pain.
"Ouch!" I yell in pain and see blood trickle down my foot. Good job, dummy! Andy sees it and picks me up with his strong arms and places me on the towel.
"Stay right there! Don't move your foot too much. I'll come back with the first aid kit I brought. But for now, keep this on." He says as he wraps his towel around my foot.
"Thanks." I say as he sprints off to the truck.

I take the moment to admire the view of the sun setting along the shore. Making all of the colors pop out even more than they normally do, and setting a more peaceful atmosphere. I inhale and close my eyes as the breeze kicks in and brushes me. I open them and wonder.

Will I ever get to see this view again?
