The breeze would  blow tendrils of her hair into disarray as she gazed at the roses in the garden. She  would sit on the edge of the bed peacefully, enjoying her last moments as a single woman. Her mother  would walk into the room, placing a soft kiss upon her forehead, informing her that the make up artist, slash, hair stylist had arrived and also that her Nikaah had been performed.

She would cry into her mothers embrace until she could cry no more , knowing that after they applied her makeup , they would forbid her from crying.

Once her make up and hair would be complete, she  would change into her dress and spritz herself with enough perfume to last the entire day.

Her cousins, sisters and mother would gush over her, when they laid eyes on her. Her father would tear up, her younger brothers would  tease her and Suhaib would be in a depression, but would still smile.

Her husband would then come and see her as a bride and as his wife for the first time. Her family would all be ready even before her, and they would leave early for the hall in which the walima would be held.

Zahra had planned the entire morning the night before , praying that everything went as per plan.

As she showered , she was beginning to doubt that anything  would go as per plan.

She was practically frightened awake from her deep slumber by a herd of elephants, the herd of elephants being her sisters and female cousins combined . Safwa along with them.
