Roads go ever, ever on,

Over rock and under tree,By caves where neversun has shone,
By streams that never find the sea;
Over snow by winter
sown,
And through the merry flowers of June,
Over grass and over stone,
And under mountains in the moon.

[Thalia's POV]

'Frodo woke up this morning and seems to have fully recovered. It was good to meet Arwen after all the stories mother told me. The council ought to be today, the party of hobbits arrived a couple of days ago.' Thalia wrote in her journal.

"Ah, Thalia," A voice startles Thalia out of her deliberation. "So good to see you, I meant to come and visit your mother I really have, but, life is rather busy at the moment."

Thalia swung around to the voice, "Gandalf!!!"

"Hello, my dear." Gandalf smiled. "Shall we go sit, for the council is about to start."

[A couple of minutes later]

"You have all been summoned to answer the threat of Mordor," Elrond said. "Frodo, bring forth the Ring."

Frodo got up clumsily and put the Ring on the table. "So it is true," Boromir mumbled under his breath.

"The Ring must be destroyed!" Elrond said.

"No. No, it is a gift..." Boromir said, beginning to look around the group. "To the foes of Mordor! Long have my people held back the tides of Mordor while your lands have been kept safe! Our people have bled and died! Why not use it? Why not use his greatest weapon against him!"

"Have you not heard anything Lord Elrond has said? The ring must be destroyed!" Legolas said vehemently.

"Legolas is right!" Aragorn reasoned. "The Ring will destroy all who seek to use it."

"And what if we fail?" Boromir shouted. "What then?"

"I would rather die than see the ring in the hands of an elf!" Roared Gimli.

Suddenly the tension in the room exploded into arguing. Until a voice pierced through the cacophony, "I will take it... I will take it! I will take the ring to Mordor, though I do not know the way..." Frodo said earnestly.

"I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, as long as it is yours to bear." Gandalf smiled weakly, keenly aware of the challenges ahead.

"You have my sword!" Aragorn said sincerely.

"You have my bow!" Legolas smiled warmly.

"And my axe!" Gimli growled, not willing to be left out.

"If it is the will of the Council, then Gondor will see it done!" Boromir smiled for the first time that day.

"Hey! Mister Frodo isn't going anywhere without me!" Sam shouted while running out of his hiding spot.

"Yes, I see, as Frodo was invited to a secret council and you were not." Elrond raised his eyebrows.

"WAIT! WE'RE COMING TOO!" Pippin shouted as Pippin and Merry ran out of hiding, causing Elrond's eyebrows to rise to new heights.

"You see, you need people of intelligence on this mission... quest... thing..." Pippin said.

"Well, that rules you out Pip," Merry grinned.

"Nine companions. Upon you, no oath or bond is laid to go further than you will." Elrond reminded. "You shall be the Fellowship of The Ring."

"So, where are we going?" Pippin asked.
