🚩Trigger warning! It doesn't go into detail, but proceed with caution.🚩

(Third person)
Drayton and Chop Top stayed longer than Kay had hoped for. Infact, it was revealed to her that they would be staying until the baby was born, and probably a while after that too. Kay didn't mind Drayton, infact he reminded her of Monty. She loved his company. It was Chop Top that she wanted to impale with a stake knife. She despised Chop Top. He was too much like Hoyt. It was like they teamed up to make her life even worse. However, the two she most hated were hardly seen. They spent most days catching up out in the barn or shed. And Drayton took up most of Monty's time, so poor Kay was stuck with Luda Mae and Thomas.

Although, she didn't mind Thomas as much. It was Luda that really rattled her cage. She didn't like Luda much to begin with, but the hormones intensified the hatred. It took everything in her not to charge at the woman with a dull spoon and painfully drain the life out of her. She would be lying if she said that she didn't pray everyday for them to all be struck by lightening or mysteriously set on fire. She was narcissistic at this point. She hated them for what they did to her. She was stuck here until further notice.

(Kay's POV)

"Bad, bad company, til the day I die. Til the day I diiiieeee~" I lowly sang to myself as I folded the family's laundry. Now that we had two extra people living with us, I had more work to do- even though I hardly did anything anymore. I did the laundry, dishes, and I occasionally swept the floor and helped prepare dinner. But hey, I ain't complaining. (Even though y'all might be because I haven't updated in forever lol)

I put the last article of clothing on Thomas's pile as people began to enter the house. I had been here so long, I could tell who was in the house just by the sound of their footsteps. But even with the two I wasn't familiar with, I still knew.

Thomas, Drayton, and Monty had went with Luda to help her move around shelves in her little rundown gas station, leaving me with Hoyt and Chop Top. Thomas was very reluctant, but Luda has told him I wouldn't get far due to my enlarged belly. So without further defiance, he lifted his mask to kiss my forehead, then bent down to do the same to my womb.

Laughter from Chop Top and Hoyt filled the large, empty house. I tried to ignore them as I picked up Thomas's laundry. He didn't have too much - none of them did, but his shirts and jeans were pretty large. Therefore, heavy. I began climbing the creaky stairs with the large pile, carefully watching where I stepped. If it wasn't for Thomas or Monty, I would've already broken my neck trying to climb  them.

As I reached the top, I could hear their distinct laughter echo in the kitchen. I could hear them rummaging through the fridge and pantry, probably looking for lunch.
"Hey slut! Come make me and my cuz here a sandwich! We're starvin'!" Hoyt yelled. I sighed, irrated. "Make it yourself! I'm busy!" I yelled back while putting Thomas's clothes into his wooden dresser. "Hurry up woman we ain't got all day!" Chop Top screamed. Loudly, I slammed the dresser drawer shut. I regretted it as soon as a picture frame fell off the old oak dresser. To the best of my ability, I squatted down and picked up the broken frame. "Damn it." I cursed under my breath. Just another mess to clean up. I looked at the picture inside the broken frame. It was of Thomas and I. We were swaying back and forth on the white porch swing, enjoying the cooler air. It was taken a few weeks after discovering I was with his child. Luda threw a fit because I didn't want her to photograph me. In the end, she got her picture perfect moment. Thomas had pulled me into his lap and placed his large hand on my belly to signify that I was pregnant. He refused to let go until the picture was taken.

Noticing how much glass was on the floor, I figured there wouldn't be any left to protect the photograph. I carefully stood up and put the frame back on the dresser. I picked up the larger glass fragments and threw them in the bathroom trash can. I would need a broom for the smaller pieces.
